Hmmmmmm, and the jewel in that picture is the two door 55 chevy wagon. A survivor in just about any condition is worth a fortune these days. The Nomads, the nicer 2 door wagons survived because they were more attractive and had more options. But the baseline two door wagon was for business use and they were abused and tossed away for the most part.
They had the same thing in the 64 and 65 Malibu. As I understand it they only made a couple of hundred each year and they are the cat's meow for hot rodders, ultimate tow vehicle. I had a bud who got a divorce. No kids but she got the Malibu wagon all customized up and he got the house. Then two years later he found a barn find survivor. Basic two door wagon, six cylinder, three on the tree and he was beyond happy.
