Installed new digital thermostat. Checked tires. made a list of things to do to get it ready for a trip across the country. We are debating if we should take it from home in north eastern Nebraska to My wife's mothers in south eastern Kentucky. She has a small house and there is never enough room for all of us.
The wires to the brakes are cut I finally figured out why. It has the old small round 5 pin plug. My truck has the big 7 pin. When using an adapter it locks the brakes. Gotta get that problem fixed. Priced new trailer tires. It has newer passenger tires on it but there are small weather cracks. Not going cut it for a 3000 mile round trip in june/july.

Replaced a $1.00 fuse so I wouldn't have to replace a $100 microwave.

Looked for what is causing a strange ticking noise in the right front as I drive along the roadway. Ticking sound goes up and down with the speed of the unit and not with the RPMs of the engine.

I would just turn the radio up. That should make the noise go away.

My ticking was the speedo, had it rebuilt and no more ticking. One of the plastic gears was broke or something.

Hmmm, Cracked Disc. What's that got to do with a wheel?

Most cars don't have wheel covers or hub caps anymore. But I remember in those days, ill fitting wheel covers would click from the spring tabs hitting the ridge in the wheel rim.
If your rv has stainless simulator covers try taking them off and see if the clicking goes away.
