In 16 years of posting on IRV2, I've only looked and posted here twice. Looking today, I see that you lost your husband. I know you bought a new rig and that had to be tough. I also see that you have posted many times for others. I know we've had our disagreements, but my condolences and I hope you can find a way to keep camping in that new RV.

As Mike, DRIVER posts verses in his wife's FB pages I have been posting also in pass five years on my wife's FB pages, many verses, music and stories of her life. I found this simple story of a boat leaving its dock, as our loved ones have pass also. ==== At this time of the year I may have these thoughts. ==== Standing at the dock a ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and moves softly out to the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and look at her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come together. Then someone at my side exclaims "Look, she's gone!" "Gone? Gone where?" Gone from my sight, that is all. She is just as large in mast and hull as she ever was. Her diminished size lies in me, not her. And at the very moment when some at my side exclaims "Look, she's gone, there are other eyes eagerly watching her approach, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout, "LOOK! I am so sorry to hear of your loss. It’s never easy to lose someone you love and the journey through can be very difficult. We lost a son at 14 years old. I can only share that our faith in Jesus Christ has gotten us through with health and joy and blessings along the way. Nothing replaces your husband, or our Ben, but loving God and loving others does lead us through in a positive way.
May God give you strength and peace. My favorite verse is
Phil 4: 5-8… it sustained me. I hope it helps you as well.

I met Dave and you at the 2009 iRV2 National Rally Ohio. Dave certainly will be missed in the iRV2 community.

You are in my wife's and my thoughts and prayers.

Sorry for these belated condolences. We enjoyed first meeting Lori and Dave at the 2009 National Rally and at a couple more rallies in the following years before we left the RV life. Many good memories!
