I ordered 2 Harry Lauder's Walking Stick trees. Thanks for the suggestion, Marty.

How very fitting a choice.
He would be proud of that kind of unique tree, I'm sure.

I'm sorry I'm so late to post to a very intrinsic and interesting fellow human being. (Finally getting over this bout of pneumonia..)
Mike would email me at irritations, funnies, the pups, and most of all, with help and assistance whenever needed or I had a problem.
He had a great sense of humor and was always willing to help out with his ideas and engineering knowhow.
I never met Mike in person but really felt a kindred soul with not only love of animals but also the willingness to help.
God Bless and Keep you Mike. You will always have a special please here on IRV2 as well as in our hearts.
Does anyone know anything about Sadie? Or the family? Anything about could we send a card? I know there was terrible bad blood between he and his brother. Anyone?

Sadie is now living with Linda, Mike's friend, who loves and spoils her. There is a gathering at Mikes house on Sunday, June 8th to pay tribute to Mike. Many of his sand dune buddies will be there.
It was Mike's wish to have his body cremated and to have his ashes interred with his parents. There will not be any formal ceremony and there really is no family except the brother who Mike wanted nothing to do with.
I was fortunate to meet him in person just 3 weeks before he passed. He will be missed by many people in the RV and sand dune community.
I made a donation to the American Cancer Society in Mike's honor.

Barb, thanks so much for the update. Very much appreciated.
I'm so thankful Sadie is in good hands. I believe Linda lost her baby not too many months ago to an overzealous vet that didn't run bloodwork before he tried to do a dental, but not sure.
I am thankful you got to meet him too. Please share with us anything else about your last meeting with him, if you like. Thanks so much again....

We now have a Garry Oak residing in our back .40 and it's name is Mike. Denise grew the sapling from an acorn and it looks good in the area we decided to plant it in. RIP Dunner, you were a great Internet friend and co-conspirator.

I don't think there is anyone in the RV community that knew more about Winnebago/Itasca basement air than Dunner. Sadly, I did not have the blessing of meeting him face to face but he came to my aid when I posted on another forum about a lack of airflow from the unit when it was new. The"experts" on the other forum blew me off telling me there was not a problem. Dunner stepped in and assisted me, pointed to the exact problem I was having because of a ruptured plenum under the rear cap. I repaired the rupture with his guidance; instant relief.
Nothing but respect for this man. RIP kind soul.

I just saw this and I am deeply saddened. I thought he was doing better. RIP and thanks for the assistance along life's way.

Barb is having Internet problems and asked me to post this picture of our friend Mike - "Dunner" that she took at his home in Az about two weeks before he pulled up jacks and took off for the big dunes.
R.I.P. Mike.
Barb - thanks for passing me the honor of putting the face to the name Dunner!
