Roger Moore Jr. ("007")

It is with extreme sadness, we've learned of the passing of one of our most beloved members & moderators, Roger Moore Jr..

A member for nearly 18 years, Roger was, truly, the epitome of a member who had the best interests at heart for the members of iRV2. He was kind, caring & a wealth of information & resources for iRV2, especially our Newmar owners. His tireless contributions creating the threads, keeping up with links to all sorts of documents, tips, tricks, manuals, manufacturer info & The Hoots Rallies were unmatched.

Roger was our Mission Statement. With his passing, there will be a void no one can fill.

He is now at peace & with his beloved Claire.

Details can be found here.

Roger ; was perhaps the first to answer one of my many questions , when I joined iRV2 , I can only hope that by continuing to pass on knowledge here in the forums I can help to honor his legacy .

R.I.P Roger .

I have been missing Roger’s contributions on the Newmar board for a while now. He carried some serious water around there for many years. Peace be with you, brother.

007 was one of my Favs...very friendly and a positive contributor by both helping to organize forum content but most importantly inviting to catch the irv2 forum bug. I will miss him.

^This. He was one of the early site team members and helped shape the community. His leadership helped set the "helpful friendly" vibe we've all come to expect here.

Sad news indeed

My deepest condolences to the Moore family.

I met Roger & Claire at the 2009 iRV2 Rally my regional group hosted in Ohio. I remember him pulling into our 4-corner weigh station with a small pop-up in tow. That pop-up was the "apartment" for their twin girls so they'd have their own private space. Later in the week, he had to cut his attendance short because Claire fell while at out on a tour & severely broke her wrist. When preparing to leave, it was discovered the windshield in his KS had come loose. Attendees rallied with Eternabond tape & assistance to keep it in place for their return trip home.

My impression was Roger was a quiet man, yet learning from him & Claire about the many, many children they fostered revealed to me a wonderfully giving man. That was apparent in his dedication to iRV2. He was giving of his time, expertise, advice & knowledge to all our members. Even with his eyesight & finger dexterity failing in recent months, he continued to make posts here with the help of his family.

Roger was a leader amongst our staff. I respected & admired him.

He will be greatly missed by me all of the iRV2 family. Thank you, Roger, for all you did for iRV2. "Go rest high on that mountain."

Huge loss. His knowledge and willingness to help the community was truly remarkable and very much appreciated. Having been involved over the years in many different forums…it is apparent from the start this forum is a friendly place to call home. I think this is a direct reflection of the people whom enjoy the RV’ing lifestyle…but in large part is also a reflection of the moderators…who set the tone. 007 was always a consummate Gentleman and a true Mentor to the community. Blue Skies and Tailwinds my Friend. You will be missed. Condolences to his family and close friends.
