Affordable 220AH GC Batteries Calgary Area

We need to replace our 8 x 220AH Golf Cart Batteries. The last ones we got at Costco and they served us well for 7 years, albeit installers boiled them at the front end with wrong settings! The pricing was wonderful back then at C$75 each plus core which if we return the existing ones we don't get charged core again.

Have called Costco.ca local stores numerous times as to when they might have them in again and told check back in 2 weeks repetitively. Well yesterday went into Costco Okotoks Alberta and were told they aren't getting any in this year, they are not even on order.

I've seen many in the USA saying they have sourcing there's down there for around US$85.

We really don't want to be spending more than C$150 for similar replacement ones, but everywhere we've looked locally and surrounding haven't got any or they are coming in closer or over $300.

Any suggestions from our fellow Canadians on sourcing 880 AH's +/- with capacity to hold up to 8 batteries in our strengthened bay.

Much appreciated.

SD.

PS: Moderators please place in another more relevant forum if you feel it would gain better response, just being Canadian specific thought I better put here???

Have you tried Peavy Mart? Be sure to look at the production date because they might not sell all that many.

This thread is pretty old but I am curious about what solution you used to get decent pricing on replacement batteries?

We tried several battery suppliers, and eventually went to a Sprinkler installer with a big Golf Cart supply business who regularly bought these batteries by the pallet load. Their prices were significantly less than any of the big battery dealerships, but of course no where near as low as our US friends would pay at any of the many retail sources down there.

Anyone else find a way around the typical 100 to 200% pricing premium we pay to live where the red Maple Leaf flies?
