Canadian National Parks 2021

Well that was fun <sarcasm> Hit the National Parks reservation site yesterday about 2 hours after it opened for Alberta Parks, Banff etc. Trying to get a couple of nights at Two Jack Lake for late September, 57,345 in the line ahead of me. It took about 3 hours, and the system didn't crash but in the end the whole Province pretty much sold out. Sporadic single days scattered about in different parks but pretty much a "No Vacancy" sign.

Just for fun, logged back in and saw that there were still over 35,000 in line. I think I'll just build a fire pit in my backyard and stay home this year.

Looks like we are stuck on the US side of the border this year. Also had a hard time getting my spot in Yellowstone. Once again Put Canada off till ?? Safe travels

Enjoy the journey

Consider checking back in a few days....Sometimes people just book quickly to see if they get the sites then change them around later for some reason.... I waited 6 hours to get my three days booked into Banff's RV park... It seems to be a stupid way to register but from a person who has done a few of these, I like this system better than before..Good Luck.

Uhg, this is a fear of mine. I have 2.5 months off this year, and not sure I can do a cross Canada trip (BC to ONT) Was going to leave around the end of Aug.
Think we'll just stick to BC this year.

Keep an eye on them, people pre-book and then cancel later on, even facebook groups on the subject. Also don't forget 80% of the country is crown land, here is how you use the Ontario crown land atlas
