Hey TW
Good to hear from You.
You will be ready to join us in Mexico next fall, but I must warn you. It is really hard to come home each spring, and it gets harder every year.
Enjoy your Christmas and watch for the Dogwood newsletter coming your way on Monday or Tuesday or ........

I think it will be turkey taco's this Christmas. LOL

I just love the look on the attendants face when you say "Hi I am trying to get gas using my credit card but I don't have a ZIP code." Most of the time they just don't know what to say.

Then of course some gas stations limit you to $75.00 so you need to start over again.

Our Visa cards are working fine here in Florida using the 3 numbers plus 00. I was going to try converting the letters, as on a phone pad, and trying that as well, but haven't as yet.

I use Mastercard and it is them that I gave the alternate US address to. Probably it was in 2007. I have not had to leave my credit card inside for the last two years! The altermate zip code has always worked when needed.

Not true, If you want to go in and prepay, which is what is required these days, go ahead. For the rest of us we want to roll up to the pump, fill up the rig and leave without having to go inside and stand in a line.

As I haven't tried the postal code numbers + 00 yet (still waiting for Christmas in frozen SW Ont!), and the CSA News article does not specify credit card type, I'll try it with both Visa and MC next week on my way south and report ASAP.

We just arrived in Ocala Fl. and made two gas stops on the way today one in Georgia and the other in Florida. Both times I used my "converted" postal code of 01011 and it worked just fine!! Ii also tried 90210 but that did not work. Now if I can just get around the $75.00 limit per transaction I will be a very happy camper.

Merry Christmas Boys and Girls!!

Cool Limit???

I think, that works ONLY by going inside... My CO-Pilot stays with the CARD... or we give cash.
Boy fills up and girl goes inside and shops......

Cdn credit card to get usa fuel using postal code

I tried using the adding two zeros method all the way to Arizona last month with both Visa and MC. Neither worked anywhere.

Guess I should look at what I type!

01000 works for me as my postal code is L0L 1T0. Filled up the rental car today as well and it still worked!

Entering JUST the numbers from your zip code and adding 00 works in the west coast and AZ.

Tried the Postal Code numbers + 00 in San Antonio yesterday at Murphy's and it didn't work. This was with a Canadian Visa (US dollar).

Any other tricks?
