Just wanted to mention a family owned and run RV resort park in Canyon City TX. Anyone who knows me is well aware I beleive in the theory that good RV parks should be given the credit that is due them. I know there are many to speak of, but today, at the risk of sounding like an advertisment, I'd like to mention the JellyStone RV Resort Park at Canyon City TX.

Proprietors Larry and Kim and Family head up one of the most accomidating crews of concerned, helpful employees I've seen in a long while.

With both indoor and outdoor pools, beach vollyball, hay rides, movies, pot luck suppers, WiFi etc. they seem to have all the activities covered for those who choose to use this fine park
Wether your here for a weekend, week, or for the winter, this park deserves your consideration as a place to spend some quality family time. I would also like to link this thread with the Texas Boomers as a possible future rally site. You won't be sorry you visited this Park.........Brad

The kids and I stayed there for 4 nights over the Christmas break. This was our 1st "long trip (4 hrs)" in our new PUP. We had a great time. They also have a nice playground.

We went to Six Flags Fiesta Texas (1 hr) and Natural Bridge Drive-thru Safari (35 min).
The location is great as there are restaurants (try Flap Jacks!) for good meals and a Ace Hardware, grocery store, etc. minutes away. They also can arrange for tubing company(s) to pick-up and return you to the cg.

We visited Canyon Lake Dam which was an impressive sight and fished in the same area.

The hosts/hostesses were very supportive and friendly. www.jellystonehillcountry.com

We will be definitely going back this year. Jellystone also has a membership card ($20.). There is another one in Waller, Tx that is very nice too.

Seems a mini rally of twenty "tear drop" trailers coming in this weekend. Drats!!! there goes my private pool and spa for this weekend.

While being here for five weeks now, our discovery tours have revealed just how nice this part of Texas is. I trully didn't realize just how "hilly" it is around here. Just beautiful.

Oh! I wish I was back at Jellystone Park.

We left last Friday 14/08 temps were to be 91F. Logically temps would drop as we ventured north, but we weren't prepared for what we got.
at home. Temps have been in the high teens (F)to the very low teens at night. I have used the snow blower everyday to move some of the 20inches of snow to allow me to get the 5er into her usual parking spot. Next year....two more weeks longer.........
