I always thought you could transport personal use booze and smokes through Canada legally. It required / requires a bond being made at point of entry and then released at point of exit when the bonded materials were proven to be extant. (untouched)

I seem to recall reading this somewhere.

Solution to this problem is to make BC the 51st state!

Funny , I was waiting for the US government to go broke and start selling off land , then I was planning, to buy Alaska , Washington , Oregon and California . Just to eliminate the cross border hold up. All you folks ready to switch to metric.
