What size and load range does your RV use? Unfortunately, choices vary significantly depending on the size and load range you require.

Hey Mal, haven't heard from you in a long while. Good to see you. I'm still running the Good Year factory installed tires. They are 205R15 and except for a nail I picked up lately have been very good. They seem to have worn very well over a lot of recent miles....

HI Brad, Yeah long time no post but I'm always on the side reading, in fact I think my last post was about tires, they sent me replacement rubber but these tires have done the same thing as the original tires (Nanco made in China crap).
Oh well time for new rubber there seems to be a lot of crap out there when it comes to trailer tires, anyway Brad take care mate and have a good season.
HI Rusty, tires are ST 225/75/15 D rated.
Thanks Mal

Well, just ourchased a set of American Made Goodyear Marathon tires for my TT. Had them mounted by dealer, got em' home and during installation I found a knot on the side wall (remember they had never been on the trailer let alone the road) Further inspection revealed another little known fact - - - Goodyear Marathon Tires are made in - - -
CHINA - - - so if you want American Made Goodyear IS NOT - - A'nt this a bunch of crap

My Merrit tires were made in the USA but as I understand now they are also Chinese. If and when I need new tires they will be Michelin. Today, they seem to have the best reputation in the industry. Who knows what tomorrow holds though.

I replaced my Goodyear Marathon ST 225/75/15 load range D tires with Denman ST 225/75/15 load range E tires. Best move I ever made.

In my opinion if your tire is only running at 60~70% of its rated load and you run MAX air pressure all the time you will have ZERO tire issue with 99.9% of the big name brand tires. My holiday had 225/75/15D tires on it when I got it but it could have had a factory upgrade to 225/75/16E lt tires. So my first tire swap I did the update , towing its more stable and I feel a hole lot better knowing it has a true US built tire that was designed to run a comercial fleet truck.

The OEM tires appeared to be crap. I replaced them with Triangle ST tires.
The important things to remember about ST tires are: ALL ST tires are speed rated for 65 MPH maximum, all mfgrs. recommend sidewall maximum pressure-Carlisle even requires that to keep from voiding the warranty.

my present 11200 GVWR 5er was used and the dealer had just installed ST225/75-15" D load range tires. I don't use ST tires so to my truck tire dealer I went. I was prepared to give the STs away but he offered a great trade in allowance. I had already had purchased 16" trailer wheels so I had him mount my old favorite B F Goodrich Commercials LT E in a LT 215/85-16 size. That was in '03 and with over 18k and being in a trailer shed they should last several more years. My 18' implement trailer has the same BFG Commercials in a LT235/85-16 E that were installed in '00 and have over 30k now. My other trailers have LT tires except my little 10' utility trailer which I keep P tires as its on I-44 at legal 75 mph speeds several times a week.
