Free camp sites in the southwest
I'm familiar with Quartzsite and the Slabs. Are there other places that are commonly used by RVers in the southwest during the winter months that are free or very inexpensive to camp, i.e. around Yuma, Lake Havasu, etc.
Thanks,
Larry

free camp sites
Free campgrounds.com may have something or maybe you could add something for others. I am always looking for for cheap or free sites.

Imperial Dam LTVA BLM area near Yuma comes to mind. Much like what you find at Quartzsite and just a short trip south.

Answering my own question :-)
I was digging around and found this website. It is very informative and has some great suggestions on boondocking sites.

Overton, Nv
We stay in Overton, NV. There are thousands of acres of public land just outside of town where unlimited boondocking is free. It’s a small town with very friendly folks. We love it here. It’s about an hour north of Las Vegas and about 40 minutes south of Mesquite, NV.
