Sierra Vista AZ - dump sites for large coach??
We recently moved to Sierra Vista from Prescott AZ, and I'm having trouble finding a usable dump site for our 42' HR Navigator.
None of the RV dealers here seem to have a dump site, the City's is out of order (for who knows how long), and even the local RV parks I've called don't have facilities unless you're staying in a spot.
I've used the Circle K, but it's difficult to get in/out of with a large coach, and you have to go in the middle of the night when it's not busy. The Valero site is much the same problem, and both of these sites have the sewer inlet raised about a foot above ground level for the coach.
Aside from putting a second septic system on our property for our RV, does anyone local to SV know of a site open to the public? I have no problem paying, but would like something more convenient for a 42' coach...
I guess I was spoiled in Prescott, as all the RV dealers had dump sites that were free and easy to access...

Check the municipal waste water plant as they typically have an rv dump station.

The City's is out of service with no ETA on re-opening.

Ask the local RV dealers where they dump?

RV City in Whetstone has a dump station. Also Quail Ridge RV park in Whetstone may let you dump… or rent a spot (it’s less than $20 a nite). Whetstone is only 10 miles away.

I did talk to both RV City and Quail Ridge. RV City told me they no longer have a dump site, and neither does Quail Ridge. Quail ridge wasn't interested in renting me a site just to dump.

Sierra Vista AZ dump stations
I stayed on a family’s driveway in Sierra Vista about 2019, we dumped I believe at the Circle K, intersection of Buffalo Soldier Tr and Ave Cochise.
I remember driving away happy that a dump station was so near and convenient.
Granted, my 21’ may result in the same experience you might have with your size rig.
( just joined, so I could post.).

I did use the Circle K site when we first moved our coach to our new house, but there's just too much traffic there at any reasonable hour. There's a new Circle K on 92 South of Buffalo Soldier that has tons of room, and even has semi pumps in the back, but no dump site. Seems like it would have been a no-brainer there...??
I'll probably end up using the Valero site as it's easier to get in/out than the Circle K, but traffic will still be an issue.
It's just surprising a town this size doesn't have more options.

I agree, it is odd that the new circle K doesn’t have a dump station.
I added a sewer “clean out” at home that I can park close enough and dump tanks at my leisure after returning home. Too bad you can’t find a place to hook to your current septic system. That would be even better than finding a dump to drive to.

I'm looking into the possibility dumping into our septic at home, but with a combined grey/black capacity of 100 gallons, I'm concerned about dumping full tanks into the system.

I find that I don’t show up at home with full waste tanks. Usually only the last 1 to 3 days of travel. Maybe usage since we changed from vacation mode to “get home” mode. It is really nice to keep using our onboard facilities all the way home. But, truthfully it is more a risk that we don’t have enough black tank contents for a good flush. ( in which case, I just do a rinse load).
I also really like that I can get home, and dump tanks the following weekend.
Maybe the dump station that you are looking for is in Benson? Or wherever you spend the preceding night……if you can have a home “small dump” answer.
Ps. By having a home dump, we also are more able to use the RV as a guest cottage.

I'm definitely looking into being able to dump the tanks at home... we've only been in the house a few months, so there are still a lot of things we're sorting out as we settle in. At our previous location, the coach was kept at a storage facility that had a dump site on-property. Made things pretty easy.
Once I have a plan in place, that will inform our travel habits for the last couple of days when we're inbound to home. Usually our last day is 400-500 miles of 'just get home', so we're probably not going to stop somewhere to dump.
Love's has a dump site in Benson, but the access is nearly as bad as the Circle K in SV.

SV RV Dump
I have the same issue in Sierra Vista. I've been here 3 years and used Circle K three times, otherwise its been out of service. I've used the one at Valero gas station twice. I currently check into Mountain View, behind RV City, for an overnight and dump while there.
