I will talk with my husband, Alberto, and see if we can go. Never been to any meet and greets and just purchased a 2012 Freedom Elite 21C. It's right after my birthday so maybe I will use this trip as my birthday present. What do people do at meet and greets? Is there quiet time and then social times together? I'm new to all this so that is why I ask.

Hi: We were new to Meet and Greets too, but have now attended two different ones and enjoyed both of them. Great meeting nice folks, some who become close friends.
We attended last year's Northwest M&G. Had a terrific time even though there were only 4 rigs in attendance. We went to the wonderful seafood buffet at the casino, dined at a local Italian restaurant we all enjoyed; had a potluck, gambled a couple of times at the casino, chatted together and just got to know each other. We also had ample time to sleep in, swim, relax, read and just do our own thing whenever we wanted to. Lots of 'free time"..
You will enjoy it very much and can do as much or as little as you choose. The M&G last year was shorter duration but this year's is 7 days. You don't have to stay the entire 7 days if you have other plans.ENCourage you to consider attending. This is a beautiful RV resort and you will be glad you decided to attend.

Hi: So far I don't believe anyone is coming with kids but that could change.
A list of suggested things to do and see in the area is being developed now. You will also have a lot of free time each day to just kick back and enjoy all the great amenities the 7Feathers RV Resort and Casino has to offer - swimming pool, movies and books; free shuttle to the casino. We'll probably all get together in late afternoon for refreshments and then dinner either as a potluck/BBQ or at a local restaurant.
They'll also be time for catching up on sleep and reading, and for good conversation and getting yo know each other.

There are some nice Golf courses nearby, a fitness ctr in the RV Park, a tour by trolley of several local wineries which the casino offers for $49 each Saturday, a drive to Crater Lake for the day, fishing in the Umpqua River, shopping, or a jet boat ride down the wild and scenic Rogue River.

We still have space available for additional rigs. It will be a great time.

If you are interested in attending, please contact Felipe direct, at the Seven Feathers RV Resort, to make a reservation. Call 1 877-839-3599
or 1 888-677-7771. Let him know you are part of the Northwest Meet and Greet group, so you can get a space in the group. The 7 night rate (with 7th nt. free), for a pull thru spot is $225 and for a back-in spot, $205. That's a great weekly rate for a 5+ star rated RV resort in beautiful Oregon. This includes the AARP, Good Sam, AAA, etc. discount.

There are still a couple of pull thru and several back in spaces in our group available, FYI, as of right now.

Please Do not send a check to me (Susan Ellsworth). No deadline for registration, which is open until all the spaces in our group are filled.

Hope to see you there, 25 July. We had a blast last time so decided to make this NW M&W a week-long this time - just had too much fun, and hated to say goodbye to the really great folks we met and have stayed in contact with.

Life's short - come meet some great folks at 7Feathers RV Resort and relax, laugh, eat really good, take your chances at the beautiful casino, and just kick back for a spell. You don't want to pass this one up.

Happy Travels,

Susan, How many spaces do you have left?
I am kind of holding back to see if my sister-in-law and her husband will be able to make it and for how long.

Hi Jerry: As of yesterday, 18 June, around noon, we had one pull thru and 5 back in spaces available. Hope you can make it. It'll be fun and 7Feathers is a beautiful RV Park with lots to do in the area.

DW and I are at 7 feathers every summer. I think this years holidays are a wash as I was hit on my duty motorcycle and have a bit of rehab ahead of me,otherwise we would love to be there. What a great CG to have a meet and greet. Hope to one day attend a M & G as we live on Vancouver Island and get off Island once a year with our RV for a month, usually spending our time in Oregon.

We're in!!!

Hello All -

For those we met at the M&G at Brazel's we're Steve & Marilyn….the preacher. We have been through some life journeys since we last met but can report that I'm cancer-free and have 2 new knees. Thanks for ALL your caring & support. It meant so much to me even though I wasn't able to get back to you at the time.

We just reserved our site at 7 Feathers for the whole week. Leaving our camp host position in Turner, OR by July 14th and we'll meander that way. Need to get our new-to-us Honda Odyessy set-up for towing….bad time for getting work done sooner than 2-3 weeks out.

Steve would be happy to do a Sunday service in character again if wanted. He has developed many more so it would be a new/different message.

Looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting all you new ones. Can't wait!

Lloyd:

It sounds like we're going to miss a great M&G. We have a BIG family thing on the Sunday of the Labor Day weekend, and there is so much planning and organisation involved even this far ahead, that there's no way to fit the M&G into our schedule.

Our "thing" is a celebration of our Golden Wedding Anniversary, plus significant birthdays of my wife and my sister, just 6 days apart. Our wedding was on DW's birthday. We'll have my brother and sister coming out from the UK, our son and grand-daughter (2 1/2 years old) from Japan, our three daughters, who live in western WA with their significant others, our four adult grand-children (also with significant others) and a 10-year-old grandson.

Add in a number of long-time friends, from Anacortes, Arizona and other places, we're organizing a party, with a catered buffet dinner, for 50 people! Luckily, our HOA owns a beach-front cabana that can handle up to 65 people and we've rented that for the day!

As I've posted elsewhere on irv2, I'm coming to the conclusion that the increasing costs are running us out of the RV life. It's sad to face it, but on limited retiree income, it's becoming increasingly difficult.

Early congratulations on your upcoming golden wedding anniversary.
Yes, life on the road is getting increasingly more costly, especially fuel!
You will be missed!
