Sorry we didn't make the M&G this year, maybe next year. How was it all? Haven't been to 7 Feathers yet although we've heard about it a lot.

We ended up instead going for Hot August Nights in Reno, NV, at the Sparks Marina RV Park, which we've fallen in love with, 40 miles from our home. Highly recommended for all. Staff is great, place is very nice, 3 dog runs, off leash, artificial turf, no grass, had their own car show Friday am, just watching the rigs and special cars was a show in itself all week. Has a Club House and BBQ area, with book exchange, jigsaw puzzle tables, TV, ping pong table and pool table, 2 exercise machines, next to pool and hot tub. Adjacent to the Sparks Marina with picnic grounds, lots of sidewalks all around the water, also adjacent to the Legends mall with even an IMAX theater. If you are in the area, please consider it.

Hi wanderso: Yes, we're sorry you were unable to join us. You missed a great time. The 2014 NW Meet and Greet at 7Feathers was a success. We had a total of 7 rigs attending. Some were returnees from last year's M&G and some were new attendees - all really nice and interesting folks. Weather was pretty hot the entire week - in the 90's, but we relaxed into the afternoon most days, had beverages most evenings, and then went to dinner at several local venues, including 2 Seafood Buffets at the 7Feathers Casino. Some of guys went golfing one day, ladies took in the Farmer's Market at both Roseburg and at the Casino's parking lot. We also enjoyed the animals at the Wildlife Safari in Winston where we were able to hand feed the less dangerous ones (stay away from the emus!), and get great photos of a variety of animals. Some of us enjoyed an evening summer concert at the park along the Umpqua River in Roseburg. We all heartily chowed down on two delish potlucks that even included homemade pie (thank you Bobbie!), traditional fried rice, Char-su pork and Hawaiian ice dessert (thank you Lloyd and Lorraine!), and other tantalizing food. We also received Segway instruction/demo/rides from the Frantz' (thank you!), and of course, had great conversation about rigs/rides, travels, pets, and everything under the sun. Oh, and we also enjoyed the gambling at the casino and a few of us even won some and a few then gave some back. Learned/played a fun and extremely easy group game with quarters called CLR (Center/Left/Right). Dined on excellent Italian food at Serrafino's and Mexican food at El Paraiso, as well as delicious fresh berry shakes and burgers at Ken's, in Canyonville.
Couldn't believe how fast the week flew by. Finished it off with a breakfast get together at the casino.
We agreed we're ready to do it again next year - perhaps a bit earlier in the summer next year (near the end of May or early June?), when the weather is a bit cooler.
7Feathers is a 1st class RV Park as is the Casino. Sure hope you can make the next one. Will be sure to post the info as soon as we decide the details for next year's.

What's strange is that out of 4 couples in this group Lloyd and Loraine know (actually Lloyd went to college with him) our dentist of 25+ years he's in Vancouver and one of the other women had my mother for a Home Ec teacher in high school, also in Vancouver. Then one of Lloyds friends from Hawaii also had my mother for a teacher in Home Ec.
The old adage about in a circle of 8 friends someone will know someone you know from elsewhere, or something like that seems to be true.
