RV Dealerships in WA - Who do you like and why?
Just as the title says. Like so many other things in life, first hand knowledge is important and while a good referral might not change the world, it might save you some time.
I'm going to start contacting some local dealerships first but I'm willing to travel if I think it will be worth my time (I'm in western WA)
Being that this is our first RV, we're looking to purchase used. Ideally we find a good shop that is honest and has a good service department, but I won't hold my breath.

We bought our Georgetown used from Roy Robinson in Marysville. Went back and bought a used Honda CRV as a toad. Had them install the tow equipment in their shop. We also had them do other maintenance on the MH. We felt they always treated us fairly and delivered on their commitments.
There's a reason they've been in the same location since 196x. You should at least look at their inventory online like we did, and then talk to them if you see something you like.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'm going to take a look at their inventory online right now.

Likely a used Class C. This is our first RV.
We went and looked at a class A that I was very interested in a couple weeks ago, great shape, diligent owner with records and well cared for, drove great, but my wife doesn't feel comfortable with the larger sized A's (and the raised driving position in general), so back to Class C's.

That "raised driving position" is a safety factor as in you see much farther out in front of yoy, over lesser vehicles etc.. seeing whats coming up sooner is a good thing. and just seeing the surrounding views of this great country as you head down the road is another big plus. and you get used to it.

I agree. I actually prefer to be up higher and I like the visibility it provides. I would be reluctant to make a large purchase like this though under the assumption that she would come around to it as that may or may not happen.

Kirkland rv sales in Everett. We bought our first class A and the customer service was great. They fixed and addressed things, such as wife did not like the existing reclining chairs, they replaced them with any fuss. We found that many places just wont do any of the fixes or repairs since they consider it used.
You can view what they have, several class c to look at.

Little late I know with my reply, bought my new Lance camper in Yakima at Hills Brothers. Very happy with the price and the set up, (never needed any warranty work)
Bought our used Winnebago Adventurer from Poulsbo in Kent, very happy with everything done there. The electric step went out before we took it off the lot! (Great timing on its part I thought)! They had a tech on it within minutes (on a Saturday) & ended up installing a new motor & board at no cost to me!
I've also had a Furion back up camera & a Zamp Solar system installed here locally at Al's RV in Bellingham on my Lance Camper, very satisfied with there work.

Yes, I am that guy resurrecting an eight month old thread.
The wife and I are going down to Maple Grove RV in Everett this morning, to hopefully work a deal on a rig. I was hoping to maybe get some input on the dealer from anyone who has experience with them. So far, everyone seems to be really nice and accommodating, if somewhat slow to respond.

Unless I was buying new , I wouldn't purchase from a dealer .
All of our used MH purchases have been from owners , no dealers . Lightly used , low miles with full history paperwork . The owners we purchased from took time to walk us through all the systems in detail . They pointed out any issues the coach had during their ownership and the repairs that were done . Provided the names of the shops and mechanics who worked on the coach and their contact info.
Found the purchase prices to be well below what dealers were asking for similar coach's with more miles and no maintenance history.
If you decide to go with purchasing through a dealer beware of extended warranties . Make sure the major mechanical systems are covered and are not classified as wear and tear exceptions . Also take note if they require pre-authorization before repairs can be done . If you have a breakdown on a weekend , you can be sitting for days just to get approval. There's a reason they push the extended warranties , they are a cash cow for them .
Our experience buying from owner has been very positive . Not a single mechanical issue on any of the purchases.

I would feel very good about going back to Apache Camping Center again. The negotiations were fast and easy, and for a small-ish deposit they held onto the trailer I wanted for a month until I was ready to come pick it up. I have never had a need to go back there for service, but I have heard very good things about them in that regard. They are not in Washington, but they handled my Washington state titling with no problems ( I lived in SW WA at the time). I think they are worth a look.
