We had a great time too!! Hope to do it again SOON! Just good to get away from the stick house and in the MH for a while. Can't do it as much as we'd like with Jacob (13 yr old grandson) living with us.

Have not heard from Steve/Marilyn. I hope all is well with them.
We all agreed that we would not mind coming back to Seven Feathers for another go around.
Lorraine and I are heading for the Redwoods next, then NV AZ NM OK MO IA NB SD WY MT WA. OR for 3 months. Doing the Monaco International, FMCA and Escapees rallies in Gillette, WY to be held back/back/ back within 3 weeks at the same Camplex. Of course we plan to do Rushmore and Yellowstone along the way.
Hope to see you @ the next M/G and thanks for writing.
God Bless!

Hi Lloyd/Lorraine, John/Mary Ellen, Deen/Cyndi: Jim and I so enjoyed meeting all of you and we had a wonderful time at Seven Feathers RV Resort with all of you! Great weather, surroundings, FOOD, gambling (took home more $$ than we came with which is always good), great conversation and laughs - the only downside was the 4 days went by SO darn quickly and we hated to say good-bye. Thanks to Lloyd for coordinating the M/G (and showing us your beautiful rig - yes, we're jealous), Lorraine for being such a great hostess, thanks to ME for those eReader books and loved the pumpkin bread, and thanks to Deen for the RV wash/wax stuff (will let you know how it worked). Jim and I plan on making the short trip up to 7 Feathers more often now that we know about Serafino's great food, too. Hope you all have safe travels this summer and hope you get a chance to stop at a Cracker Barrel along the way.
We, too, hope to see you at the next NW M/G.
Hugs,
Jim&Susan plus our Westie girls, Chloe and Chelsea

Yep, it was a real TIRING trip, here's three of our cats on the way home!
Noah (retired CFA Grand Premier show cat) with the black on his head, directly behind him is Shachimi (Chimi) for short and her first trip in the MH, Tomiko on the left. He's the one I take for walks on a leash. These are all Japanese Bobtails and are really nervous when traveling as you can see!

Looking to possibly plan a meet at Winchester Bay (Aug 8-12) between the Monaco International Rally at the Mill Casino (Coos Bay, Aug 2-8, 2014) and the FMCA (Redmond, Aug 12-16).
Any thoughts? Know of any good CGs between Coos Bay and Redmond? Seven Feathers is an option but that would be backtracking a little.
Susan Ellsworth, Deen, Larry or anyone else, please add your opinions too.

Mernie and I missed the M&G last year, but would love it if this year's M&G would be somewhere on the Oregon Coast.

Osprey resort is about 7 miles from coos bay toward Redmond. Very nice campground even has a pizza parlor with great food. close to the casino.

Hi Lloyd: If 7 Feathers is too out of the way between the Coos Bay and Redmond stops in August, suggest either Winchester Bay or the Heceta RV Park just north of Florence, OR, since some want to stay on the OR coast. Florence OR is a straight shot east to Redmond, through Eugene.
We stayed at Heceta Beach RV Park for a week last summer and really enjoyed it. It's not fancy (no pool) like 7Feathers, but has cable, full hook ups, Wi-Fi, pull-thrus for big rigs, etc., is very quiet, level gravel spaces with hedges dividing each space, picnic table/fire ring at each site, a nice dog walking area, market on-site, and a short stroll to a beautiful long beach. Tall trees around perimeter block the ocean winds too. Tavern and nice restaurant w/in walking distance, and Florence is only about 3 miles away. Florence has very good restaurants and shopping, plus a movie theatre too. Sites rent for approx.$35 per nt w/Good Sam - may be less for groups. I've emailed them to confirm current prices for Good Sam/AARP and group discounts and will pass along info when I get it. Here's a link to their website if you want to check out Heceta Beach RV Park, www.hecetabeachrv.com . Good reviews on www.campgroundreviews.com too.
Winchester Bay is nice - no shelter from the wind though, and not much to do around there unless you want to go to the sand dunes. Could be full of kids and dune buggies in August too.
Hoping we can still get together at 7Feathers after Redmond - what do you think?
Regards,
Susan and Jim

Like you, I think 7 Feathers would be a perfect venue..... concrete pads, covered picnic areas, Serafino's close by, casino, arguably in the top 10 CG's in the U.S., right off the I-5, etc. What is not to like? I notice the secret is out and they are a lot more busy. Perhaps we should consider doing it BEFORE the MI and FMCA......like the last week of July. Most of our members are retired and kids would on their summer break anyway.
We will be at 7F in about a week and a half on our way home to PDX. Hope we can can together.

HiHi Lloyd: I heard back from the Heceta Beach RV Park. Their Good Sam Rate is $38.00 - no group discounts but all in group would get this rate even if not Good Sam mbrs.
Last week in July looks good for us to meet at 7 Feathers.
What are the dates you'll be there in a week and a half? Do you have a space reserved already? We're ready to crank up our MH for our first trip this year. We'll be close enough to home just in case we discover any "first trip of the year" surprises.
Looking fwd to seeing you guys! More info pls so we can make reservations Can't guarantee great weather this time of year in OR but you know that already.
Warm regards,
Susan

Looks like a nice spot. The trees are a good wind break and the beach nearby.
