Has anyone camped in Michigan yet?
Can’t take it anymore. Going to Sleepy Hollow SP next weekend.

We are going 4/26- 4/30. Has to be in the 50's during the day for us to be comfortable. Last year there was some nice early weather but no so far this year. Definitely have the itch.

We stayed at the Wayne county fairgrounds a few weeks ago on our way home from the south. Was a bit chilly, but we wanted to see The Henry Ford Museum, which by the way is one of the best I have seen.

Snowing in Hinton AB, Edmonton has set a record ; for consecutive days with freezing temps, some time during the 24hrs. (167 at last count ).
There's another , Alberta Clipper heading your way , take your snowmobile suits.
Just a word to the wise .

Back in 2011 I accepted a job in the UP, moved up there the end of March and stayed in my coach. It snowed 2 more feet in April.
Good luck to any other fools brave enough to do try it.

Maybe you'll have good luck in the Southern L.P., but we're picking up about 18 inches of fresh snow in Marquette today and tomorrow. Gale warnings, lake shore erosion warnings, and it's still coming down hard.
We pulled our motorcoach from indoor Winter Storage last week, then put it right back in when the forecast updated with this storm system.
We head South on April 27, but should have gotten out of Dodge the day we pulled it last week! :-)

Yikes! Temps for this weekend down here are supposed to be mid-50’s. Not ideal, but doable.

Have the Michigan State Parks changed the way they charge? What kind of fees are involved in a out of state traveler staying at a MI. SP? Years back they had wacky extra fees for every time you re-entered their campgrounds.
In Ohio, no matter if your an in-state resident or a out of state traveler you pay one price / same price per night to camp. If you make a reservation that will be a one time $8 extra fee. There are no other fees to enter any Ohio State parks. Even the ones without camping. Many other states charge more for out of state travelers and they charge a yearly entrance fee on top of the over night camping fees.

For out of staters you can buy a “recreation passport” for $32.00. This gives you unlimited access to all MI State Parks for a year. There are no extra fees for camping other than the normal rates.

We're officially at 22 inches of fresh snow on the level. At the mid-point of our driveway, that means a drift of about 48 inches. When it got dark this evening, visibility was still only about 1/4 mile and snow was still coming down hard.
I'm done. I'm going to see if I can get the coach out of storage again tomorrow (pulled it last Monday, put it back in when this storm system forecast was announced on Thursday) and head South as soon as the roads are cleaned up.

Don’t blame you. Get the heck out of dodge as soon as you can.

Thanx....So it doesn'y pay to just do a night or two, having to pay the $32 entrance fee. Is that $32 cover you for the whole summer? at any MI. state Park.

Believe the $32 is good for an entire calendar year, at any state park in the system.
