Mosquito never fills up, especially in the off season. I think we'll see how the weather looks and just come-on-up.....get may drift....

We have another obligation in Cleveland on Saturday morning, and then I travel to Notre Dame University to entertain with a band from Elmira NY for a football banquet with Lou Holtz.

From the site descriptions; it's hard to tell what the sites are really like....never been to Mosquito but we'd like to join in! I'm 53' overall hitched....is there enough room in their sites for the coach and truck to park properly? Are they fairly level? Descriptions accurate?

I havent been there before either, but according to our resident expert "Superslif", the sites in that section are pretty level and sunny which would be good at that time of year. He says that 102-105 and 39 and 40 are good, 97-97 is level, 98 and 99 have small uphill grade but not bad.

woodburner -

Super! I think we've go an new frequent "Piggie".

Our group had snow, I think the year before, we were at Salt Fork this early in the season. We always have a group dinner together (bring your own meat to cook over the group fire & a side dish &/or desert to share) & we 'bout froze. Good thing Shelly & Michelle had plenty of coffee to go around that night! Brrrr. Hopefully we won't get snowed on this April.

Lori- from the WB thread....since we bought the Everest I've taken about 15,000 photos of everywhere we've camped....nice thing about the digital world is you can pic and choose which ones you like...I've cropped the collection down to about 5,000 photos....amazing what an inexpensive Kodak camera can do! ( and I do mean inexpensive! ) It was my first so I thought I'd buy a cheapy to learn on. Very user friendly.

One thing I can't understand with some of OHIO St. Pks, is why they descriminate against pet-owners...Seems that at some of the parks; Mosquito being one, PET sites are devoid of trees/ full sun. While this might not be an issue during the cooler months; it'd sure be crummy when it gets hot out...

good evening, just got back from a weekend ski trip to Bristol Mt. near Rochester NY. Woodburner site #102 is nice and grassy and open. I think it is level or a little uphill. I remember seeing some class "A's" on that site before. Others in that loop that I think are OK in are #96,97,98,99,100, 103,104,105 even sites 36,37 and 38 are not that far to walk. basically there is a playground area that covers the inside of that loop with a short buffer zone behind each campsite of taller field grass. Mike I have yours down as partly shady. After your site you get into the full shaded ones. I think the only issue we will have is if it is a wet weekend and the grass had not been cut yet. Otherwise all the sites in that half of the loop are open / sunny and have good drainage and for the most part level. We used to camp there a lot when we only had a tent because it was cheap with no electric service. We usually camp in the non-pet section. We camped there twice in the last 5 years. Its a nice quite park that never seems to fill up.

George you didn't tell me about that "other obligation",in Cleveland. I found out this morning. So Diane said we would not be going this weekend. But then again it was for "Women Only". So I guess I can't see ya perform.

Jim,

Would you like to carry sound equipment? We'll talk to the promoter and get a "Stage" pass for you
