It's great to see activity in this forum and considering that the 2007 National Rally will be held in your region, y'all might want to gang up together and inundate us with your posts telling us about your region's campouts and to show the rest of the regions what's happening out your way.

Hey all! We had 99 degrees here today. And, it is dry, dry, dry. The trees are chasing dogs.

Actually we are about 10 miles southeast of Springfield between Ozark and Sparta.

Got you all beat. It was 105 yesterday here in the Black Hills of South Dakota. And our park has a "power problem", so no air conditioning. Leaving park tomarrow.
But what I really would like is information on your area in August. Not ready to go home yet, and we have just about done the West. I know the heat and humidity will be a problem, but convince me it would be worth it. Thanks.

Bill,
It usually cools down somewhat in August. The Branson area is well worth seeing. As teach said they have just opened the "landing". Lot of unique places within a days drive.

Howdy Bill,
You've heard of the "dog days of summer?" Well, I think we are getting ready to enter them. Supposed to be ~100 degrees today thru Tuesday with heat index around 110 degrees. It generally starts cooling down towards end of August. But we have plenty of a/c, so come on down.
