We did too. We will be in the same loop on site 100. My brother will be on site 101. And his friend Steve will be on 103. We will get there Thursday for 3 nights. I knew if I was going to get 3 sites next to each other for that weekend I would have to call at 7am this past Wed. morning. I looked tonight and there are only about 15 sites left for the whole park for that weekend. The past 2 years we had sites in the non-pet loop (56 & 58). were you there last year?

No we've never camped there - just always wanted to and I remember you saying it fills up quickly so I tried to stay right on it this year and get it booked. Seems like I'm always too late for alot of stuff - LOL!!

Site 107 is level and full sun. We had a Pond piggies outing there last June. Mike (ISLAPP)was on that site. We were on 106. Dave & Lori were on 108. The showerhouse is a short walk from your site. Across the street by site 105 there is a cinder path/road that takes you to a rock outcroping overlooking the lake. By that time of the year they start to let water out of the lake to get ready for the winter snow melt off. Since you are coming for the Halloween campout make sure you bring stuff to decorate your site. Last year I hooked up something I bought at a garage sale. I call it a lightning box. You put the spooky CD in a CD player, you put this box in front of it and as the spooky CD plays haunted themed arrangments it will correspond by flickering lights you plug into the box. So I ran a cord into my trailer and hooked it up to 2 table lamps.
They have trick-or-treating 4-5:30 on Sat. Sat night about 100 volunteers set up a 1/2 mile haunted trail. There is a whole weekend of activities for the kids..... www.westbranchstatepark.com

Thanks so much for the info on that site - Halloween is definitely up my alley - I love to camp during Halloween themed weekends. We have a fog machine and I think I'll take it. Oh I can't wait! My hubby will be happy to be so close to the water. At the rate I am bookiing sites for Halloween weekends - I better start loading up on candy huh? LOL!! Sherri

Sherri-
You'll like site 107. It's super long with, technically, no one behind you until WAY past the tall brush. So you can decorate all the way back for Halloween to your heart's content.

Ya, we have a fog machine too. After last Halloween Target had 75% off fog juice. I think I bought 3 bottles. My son loves playing with the fog machine....I'll keep an eye out for halloween stuff at garage sales this summer......We have one 12 year old son (Robert). My brother has 4 kids ranging from 8-14. And his friend Steve( site 103) who just got married last year I think his wife has one child. Not sure.....My brother and his friend are ATV riding buddies, so there always rebuilding there rides. Also what day are you getting there Thur or Fri ? If you need pumpkins they usually have a farm wagon full for $3 each (great price for the size). So if you need some pick them up when you get there

Wow that was a great deal on the bottles of fog juice - I'll have to keep my eyes open this year for a sale like that - our closest Target is in Boardman and I rarely go there. I also scour the garage sales for halloween goodies. We went and picked up our camper today from All Seasons RV in Streetsboro - it needed work done on the air conditioner and hot water tank and I had them do a "summerization" on it. Low and behold - when we went to hook it up to bring it home - there was a small "C" dent on the front end so I called their attention to it and they settled with us for $75 bucks which I used as a store credit to get an outside rug (8x20) - I've always wanted to get a rug just never took the time to do so.
We have 3 kids all together (Cody is our only biological child - he's 14 turning 15 in June- then there is Sabrina who is a fresh 16 and Stephen who is 13 turning 14 in July - we have legal custody of and are raising Sabrina and Stephen - they are our grandchildren (technically my step). Sabrina and Cody are both in marching band this year so our camping adventures are going to get interesting but we're going to try our best to work around their band schedule. Sabrina's been in MB for several years but this will be Cody's first year in MB. Plus Sabrina and Stephen visit their natural parents on alternating weekends. Thanks for the tip on the pumpkins - I'll be sure to watch for that wagon. Since you love Halloween too - you'd love Brookdale's Halloween camping - they really do it up and several seasonal campers go all out with making fun houses and scary tents and that kind of thing - it's a ball! Welp - I've rambled on enough. Take Care. Sherri

Hi. The campground is chock full of kids for the trick-or-treating. I went through 2 huge bags of candy last year, and was worried I was going to run out. The good thing of this is you get a lot of candy back. Everything Robert didn't want we used for treating at home!
