We know this is really short notice, but it will also be very, very laid back and informal.
Bob and I are headed to Buckhorn RV Resort in Kerrville on August 11 to 14th. Since my surgery I am not operating on full steam yet, but I needed to get out of the house and go camping. There is nothing planned officially, but if you would like to come please post and let me know. If there are ten Texas Boomers we get a discounted rate for the gathering. (24.00) I have already talked to the park and there is plenty of room.
I am planning a Hill Country Gathering for Sept 17 / 18 either a Lake Medina RV Resort or maybe Skyline Ranch RV Park in Bandera.
Also, Pioneer RV Resorts has bought the old Jelly Stone RV Park in Bandera right on the river. Don't they know it floods?? They are updating it with new concrete and Cable. It looked really nice and is close enought to walk to town. If you can crawl up that one hill.
Well I am glad to be back on the internet. And will get some Hill Country Gatherings going. Bob and I also visit Koyote Ranch Hill Country (RV Park and Lodging). It is really nice with paved sites, full hook ups, Biergarden & grill. But really out of the way. If you want quiet and isolated, this is the spot. You can check them out at http://www.koyoteranch.com.
I love to travel and travel I must.

Kris,
Thank you for reprising your role as "Minnie Boomer" for the Hill Country folks. You will do a great job, and you can count on much help.
We will be in Illinois from August 11-21 attending a family reunion, so can't make Kerrville, but we should be around for the September one.
Y'all have fun!

Kris,
Janet had a setback with her foot right after Tow and was put back to no weight on the foot and wheelchair. If the doctor says she can put some weight on it by the 11th we will meet you in Kerrville...will let you know. She has an appointment on the 8th.
Will have to miss the September gathering, will be gone most of September....family run to Mississippi, Alabama and Virginia with points in between. Will be leaving from Burleson.
Take care...

Kris,
Janet's doctor said ok...she can put some weight on the foot...so will be getting to Buckhorn on the 11th and leaving on the 14th. Looks like this is going to be mini-mini Hill Country Gathering, should I call and make my own reservations??

Well anywhere the Boomers meet it is a party.
The Wrights and the Rupps enjoyed a quiet cool evening after dinner at the Lake House in Kerrville. There was a wonderful breeze and it really was a joy to set outside and watch the sun set.
We were surprised to find out that Larry and Teresa Hall Boomers from Odessa were parked next to us. They worked really hard to make it to the gathering. Actually, they were meeting friend too.
The party is just starting, and the weather is beautiful. The metro shower is fantastic tonight. And tomorrow promises to be just as great.
Wish you were here.
Kris
