Pat was in surgery a little over 2 hours this morning having her right knee totally replaced. Her Dr. said her knee was really in bad shape.

She was nauseated when she came out of surgery and was vomiting. When she got to the room about 1:30 PM they gave her a shot to settle her stomach. She pretty much passed out after that and I left for the day to let her rest and recover.

Don, tell Pat to hang in there. Susan had her knee replacement last Monday, 11-19 and was turned lose from the hospital on Friday, 11-23.

She was pretty groggy for a few days. She starts her PT tomorrow and sees the DR. again on Friday. She says it does not hurt as much now as it did when she limped into the hospital a week ago.

Best of luck,
Ken and Susan

Don and Ken,

Our thoughts are with yall. My father-in-law (Cathy's dad) had the same surgery a couple weeks ago. He got home the day before Thanksgiving. He too is doing therapy now too. So we know what yall are dealing with.

I have passed on to Pat all your kind wishes and she really appreciate the thoughts and prayers. They untethered her from the IVs, catheder, etc. today and she is up and walking somewhat wobbly but at least she is up and trying. We are thinking she will be discharged on Friday or Saturday. Thanks agin so much to our Boomer family for caring.

Ken all our best to Susan. She and Pat can get together and compare scars.

Good news Don, glad things are progressing as they should. Last week was the knee operation week I guess, including Pat and Susan, I know of 4 women that had it done and all are doing fine. Maybe there's hope for me too, not!

Glad all are doing good.

Hi Don and Pat,

Ken and Susan,
Glad yu'll doing so good after the Knee Surgery
I think Betty want's to get in on comparing scars.
I bought this for her PT on but she still going to the Physical Therapist for Shock treatment on her knee to re-educate the muscles.
See you'all in the spring

Brought Pat home from the hospital today. She isn't ready to go dancing yet but she is getting around pretty good with her walker. She is not having excessive pain and most of the swelling is gone. She starts home therapy tomorrow. Again thanks for all the kind thoughts and prayers. Attendance at Christmas Rally is on hold. Decision to be made middle of next week.
