We don't know the area of Tampa where we're camping that well, but we do have some ideas about places we could go to eat on Friday night. Let's pick one out and hope for the best.

Option 1 Tampa - Catch 23- 5.3 miles from campground. Latin Caribbean infused seafood. Upscale casual. Most entrees are around $15-$18.

Option 2: Tarpon Springs - 15 miles from campground. Greek restaurant: Mykonos, Louis Pappas, or Mama's Greek Restaurant are possibilities.

Option 3: Ybor City - 16 miles from campground. Columbia Restaurant Business casual. Spanish food with flamenco floor show included. A Tampa tradition. Runs up to $25 with alcohol for dinner and show, as we recall.

Option 4: Ybor City - 16 miles from campground. Carmine's. Casual Cuban. One of our favorites for hanging out and people watching. No web site.

Please go ahead and vote and discuss...

Hmm. 79 views and only 4 votes?? And no comments or suggestions about eating out somewhere Friday night of the October campout? I was hoping to rustle up more help with this decision.

Having been in the Tampa area at 5:00 on a Friday night and rush hour traffic - my feeling is we need to stay close to campground. Does that mean I'm on old fogey???

HHHHmmmm The Boston Cooker's menue does look very interesting. We could go either there or Tarpon Springs. Traffic would be much better going to Boston Cooker.

Bill I don't think your old.
Just like Lou to drop in say one word and vanish.

I think that might have been Robin, not Lou. It was all caps.

Now this is more like it: 6 votes and 9 replies. Thanks for the suggestion - Oldsmar would be very close, thus allowing the old fogies among us to come along without stressing out. By late October hopefully New England cooking will sound good because the weather will be so refreshingly cool.

We've got 14 couples signed up - only six interested in eating out on Friday?? And, I haven't tried this poll option before. Doesn't everyone have a vote or are we voting as couples??

OK, keep the jokes coming...

First, Robin would never do that to poor 'ol Lou.
We voted as a couple, we could cast another vote if needed.
Yes it probrably would be better if we eat closer for Bill & Larry, much less stress for them driving.
