I was speaking with another one of our members recently, and the topic came up of fun things to do in FL. Now these would be things other than the obvious, such as Mouse land, and all of the other "Orlando" attractions....some real FL stuff...things that existed prior to the "mouse".
So I figured this would be a good place to come up with some of those FLORIDA adventures that might work into future FLORIDA Boomer gathering events:
I will go first and the rest of you join in.
I saw a truck the other day in one of the most affluent areas of Orlando...it was advertising;
WILD HOG ADVENTURES, now that sounds like it has real potential, maybe the pot luck could be fresh pulled pork !!!!!!!!!!!!
Next?

There's lots to do and see in sunny Florida, to name a few:
Lion Country Safari
Busch Gardens
Sea World
Gatorland
Church Street Station (Orlando)
Daytona USA Motorsports
Dolly Parton Dixie Stampede
Jungle Adventures
Kennedy Space Center
Silver Springs
Deep sea fishing
Marineland
And dozens more that I can't think of right now.

The classier side of the family reminds me we are to attend the Mt. Dora Arts Festival this weekend. If you have never been there it is the best show in the USA

Hey is Wootens still down in Everglades? That place was really fun. Airboat rides, water buggy (or what ever they are called) you know the thing with big wheels that ride in MUD & splash you. Well anyway, the driver was a riot on there. They have a nice Zoo too. (this is from an outsider) Sorry

Don't forget the all of the springs!
Ginnie, Poe, and Blue Springs, just out side of High Springs.
Manatee watching, Blue Springs State Park, Orange City, Manatee Springs outside of Chiefland. Swim with the manatees in Crystal River, and many other places.
