I would think we can do a pot luck on Saturday evening. There is a room that might be available in the camp site area.
We can further decide the time as the date gets closer. We need to remember the sightseers must have time to see everything and get back.

Just got off the phone with some lady at JI - never heard ofiRV2 and does not know who is on site 6. Gave up and will call back when someone else is there. :(
Success!! Talked with Tara this time. She was cool! We are on site 11 - just across the street from Tom and Diane.
Wanted and open site so we can get a satellite signal. (addicted to TV )
Will arrive on 29th and depart on the 3rd.
Eating seafood as soon after arrival as possible!

Doc
Very happy to hear you got on the site, had me concerned that something went wrong.
See you the 29th, and hopefully you will not grow gills.

No missed it, but someone else mentioned it to me as well. We have been going there for a few years and I know a few places. One on Shem (Shim?) Creek with sort of an open air dining area right on the creek GREAT oysters and sliced fried potatoes. Good place for lunch and another on the square at the old market - AW Shucks was the name, just darn good food all the way around. Another (steak house) on the other side of the square. Can't recall names, but I do recall the food!!

The following is from the Shem Creek web site. might be a good place for a Friday night dinner.
Just across the Cooper River Bridge from historic Charleston, SC rests Shem Creek Inn. Situated on the waterfront overlooking serene Shem Creek, home of the Charleston shrimp boat fleet, this Mount Pleasant hotel is surrounded by restaurants, shopping, and abundant wildlife. Known for its quaint views, harbor side activities and gracious hospitality, Shem Creek Inn is just 4 miles from downtown Charleston, SC. as well as the beaches of Sullivan's Island and Isle of Palms.

If you want something a little closer, go to The Crazy Crab. As you go down Folly Rd and cross the Wapoo river bridge the resturant is on the RH side. Ate there Monday and it was very good food and located on the river so you can watch the dolphins!
Approx 20 min from the CG.

Can't make plans that far ahead. Running back and forth between Beaufort and MUSC for cancer stuff. If things get cleaned up by then we will try to get there. Thanks for asking,

My wife and I look forward to meeting every one. This is also my wife's birthday weekend so I will half to let her lay on the beach for a while.

Please refer to the first post for the directions to register. If you have a problem, ask for Tara. She will get it correct. We look forward to meeting you and your wife.
Guess it will be an anniversary and birthday weekend.
