We are planning on a trip to Newport News park in March.Has anyone stayed there and did you enjoy your stay? Any info that's important to know before going. When should I make my reservations. Thanks for your help.

We stayed there back in 2012, We liked it. It's a rustic park, no sewer. Lots of bike trails and centrally located to Williamsburg and Yorktown, must see.

As for reservations call them and ask. We were there in May and we were 1 of about 10 campers. No need for reservations. Enjoy

We were there for about 5 days last fall. Had a power site. Nice CG. Surprisingly quiet considering it is far from open country. Be sure to see the Mariners Museum. Excellent model rooms.

Thanks. We are going to be there soon. Can't wait. Definitely got the urge to get camping. This is a short trip for a shake down before this spring.

We stayed there for 3 days. Nice park, not all the sites in B section were as level as I would be comfortable trying though. There were only 4 other campers in the area so we had lots to choose from. Plenty of things to do and see within
an hour drive. It was alittle cool for the beach. Had a great time. $32.00 a night water and electric.

Used to live near there and stayed several times back in the day. Unless it's changed, it's fairly rustic but nice, and we would stay there again if in the area. Good jumping off point for Williamsburg and VA Beach, but the trip across the Hampton Roads Tunnel to VA Beach is a grind because of heavy traffic.

There are sites that will take larger rigs. Be sure to ask fo a level site. The B loop 50 amp sites have had a recent refurbishment of the electrical connections.
