We are heading down to our favorite campground, Willowtree, in Longs, SC (about 20 min.) from Myrtle Beach. If any families are thinking about heading down to warmer climate, I can vouch for this quiet campground.

We had driven through that campground, very nice, it was when it first openend, I like the Hot tub sites! This years as in years in the past my wifes break and the kids nreaks are on different weeks, so there is not enough time to go down. I miss my Ocean Lakes...and the warm sea air!

We stayed there for bike week 2 years ago, we had a spot on the lake with the hot tub, it was a blast, but after being at Ocean Lakes last week, if I was in the area, thats where I'd be. Ocean Lakes!!
It's rough coming back to work, I keep thinking about what I was doing last week at this time and get bummed out. I'm already skeaming on how to get back down there sooner than later.
Have a great trip P&H and welcome to the Noreasters.
Al

I just looked at Ocean Lakes - It does look very nice, and you said on your blog you had an oceanfront spot? (liked your blogs, by the way). I forgot to check if they allowed dogs there.

We were at Oceans Lakes last month, had a great time there. Toby and Tipper, our goldens, really enjoyed the golf cart rides....

They are pet friendly. Also, if you decide to go, look into speedy check in, they send you your cr pass and paperwork before you arrive, you just go too the security gate. The have a great snackshop, mini golf, and a store. We enjoy renting the golf carts and cruising with our kids! You are also close to all the attractions from here. Willotree, is a little more out of the way.

Willowtree is out of the way, but we have family in Little River, so it's only a 10 minute drive to there. The kids have rated Willowtree as the best campground they've been to so far. April is still quite a few months away, so we'll see what happens!
