We will be traveling from Des Moines Iowa to attend the Big E fair in West Springfield MA next week, can you help with campgrounds close to the fair grounds that we could use, they tell us the campground at the fair is first come first serve so we need a backup plan if it is full. Any info on which roads to take would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your info.

We use Prospect Mtn., been going there for the past 15 years. We will be there on the 19th at our usual 2nd Pond site. If you're coming from Rt.8 to go to these CG's, let me warn you that it starts off as a 13% grade for the first 1 1/2 miles.....and you're basically starting from a dead stop
