To one and all, this is a bump, but also an announcement.
At the spring rally there will be a duel in the sun, involving two Italian fellows, weilding the weapons of famous Roman gladiators the infamous "Pyramid Busters". The gauntlet has been thrown at the foot of the senior member by a hairless fellow from the Commenwalth of Massachusetts. Women and children may elect to avoid this conflict of titans. Wagering will be allowed..

Hi All,
Hmmmmmm wagering on this one will be tuff! Since both are Italian they are equal in ther knowledge of Edged Weapons. The youngr warrior has strength and speed on his side. However the senior warrior has Military experiance and wisdom that can only come with years,on his side!!! Gods Speed to you both!!

I must agree with Al's observations. Wagering will be difficult in such a duel of experience and tactics over the inexperience and strength of youth.
What does one bring to such a duel? A blanket and a soda? Or, is it a more sophisticated event requiring camp chairs, wine, cheese and crackers? I figure I can use the wine to treat any wounds like a cut man from Rocky!

And I thought it all started with two dogs creating a pyramid and the Capt who is noted for his golf swing was useing it for a tee. I'll go with the young guy if the Capt feels like I do in morning the old man is in trouble.

Methinks your Sherpa guide mistakenly took the sun reflecting off your pate as radiance from a heavenly spirit. Once you gaze upon my eminence beholding a magnificent weapon as ever seen by mankind, you will be struck down in awe, my little chipmunk. I cant wait for the games to begin, even with "007" as your handler, thee hasnt a chance. To the winner goes the spoils!!!

Haven't a clue what you are talking about.
Edited to add: Ok, I went looking for what you are talking about. I offer be the first aid person (and I think I have some iodine that stings for wounds)..because I'm pretty sure you will need one.

If these pyramid busters have been freshly used we will need umbrellas for protection in the stands! Youth vs age and wisdom? It's a tight competition... I can't take into account what either warrior claims himself to be. Both are sharp with the tongue. I think I will wager on the one with the best costume! Let's see... the shortest trojan armor?? the best helmet?? the cutest family crest??

Well you've finally done it, even though it's too early for Carol and I to commit to the spring rally, the thought of ANY sporting event between a MA competitor and a NY/NJ competitor peaks my interest forcing me to reavaluate my decision to attend or not attend said event. I'm not at all sure what the "weapon of choice" is but the eventual outcome of the of the game is as clear as white wine. This will be the classic "old bull" "young bull" story BUT this time the young bull WILL WIN. Yes it's true that the wise and sage old bull will have many lesson to teach the young bull but the young bull has a "secret weapon". I feel the outcome of this duel will be determined by this secret weapon which as we all know is the young bull's fair maiden. History has shown us that our somewhat strange of thought young bull has always found ways to keep his fair maiden content, so I say "if" the fair maiden asks for the head of the old bull then our fearless young bull will stop at nothing to present the old bulls head to her. If however the young fair maiden should choose to support the old bull in this sporting event then all is lost for the young bull and life as we all know it will be changed forever. I myself will be happily cheering for the young bull because after all is said and done he is still a hometown competitor and I just can't bring myself to support ANY NY/NJ teams. Ken

Nay,to your prediction Ken, I, as the wizened and tested "old bull" have in my household the Queen who has had me catering to her every whim and desire for 50 years. If she asks for his head than by all the Gods it will be done. In a previous communique I mistakenly called my arrogant opponent a "chipmunk", I meant to say "grasshopper". For your edification the weapons used will be "awning hooks" modified to the owners whims with all sorts of adornments. The winner will take possession of his opponents weapon and hang it prominently in the trophy room of his RV. May the trumpeters blow thier horns, May the goblets be filled, Let's get it on....
