It's a ranch (Lakde George are has many) formally known as a Dude ranch. Until recently, our entire family went up there every year in the winter. It's an all-inclusive place, where your price pays for your room, food, snowmobiling, more food, a small ski hill with equipment, horseback riding, music and dancing, swiming, cross country skiing, did I mention food, etc. My grands learned to ski there when they were barely walking. In the summer the foucs is on water skiing, horseback riding, archery..summer stuff.
I always thought it would be neat if we had an IRV2 winter rally there.
Many people bring their own snowmobiles, because there are lots of trails, right from the rance.

Ridin-hy ranch is a ranch that people stay at & ride horses, hike, etc. Itt is way down a dirt road not far from the campground. On Friday & Saturday nights they have a band come in & have dancing in a big log cabin bar that they have. Last time we were there we had a good time.

that sounds like a lot of fun - both summer and winter! my husband would definitely love the skiing part. we have quads instead of snowmobiles - but i'm guessing the snow would probably be way too deep to ride them safely?

doris - we should do that! sounds great!

Hi George & Judy,
So good to see you back amongst the Nor'Easters! George & Judy you can give us all some dancing lessons. I think us all going to a dance would be a hoot!

Welcome Pappy1600! We look forward to meeting you and your family at the fall rally.
I hope that we will be finalizing some details next week and start reseving our spots. At that point we will have a list of attendees.

No decision yet. Retiredenforcer is going to go check one out this coming weekend. It looks good but we need to see it just to make sure. We will post as soon as we find out.

I just spoke with the owners of Lake George Schroon Valley Resort Campground and set up a time on Thursday afternoon 7/20 to look over the campground for the fall rally. I'll try and take some pictures and send them out and will advise everyone on registering for the rally. Lynn, sorry you aren't able to make it over but my invitation still stands on lunch if you are in the area.
