Family Places in MA (Boston/north)

We are going to visit family in the Boston area 8-21 to 9/7. Looking for somewhere to take the family (12 and adult) over a weekend not to far, maybe some fishing (salt or fresh)..Any suggestions?

Boston MinuteMan Campground

It's really great. Highly regarded around here. I stayed there, and I understand why everyone loves it.

You're welcome. It's near a train that can take you in town too.

Haha! I'm here right now!!!!! It's very nice! clean, quiet and the people in the office are super nice!!!! willing to help with anything! The only water is a pool, but it's clean A great spot to stay and then take daily trips into both Cambridge and Boston.

All the best!

X3 on Minuteman, by far the most convenient and best choice.
In Boston, all the historic stuff is neat: Freedom Trail, Paul Revere House, Old North Church and Faneulil Hall. Non Historical: Aquarium, Boston Children's Museum, JFK Library. If you want to look around near the campground, Concord and Lexington are right near by. If you want to take a little ride, Old Sturbridge Village living history museum in Sturbridge is great.

Enjoy the area, keep an eye out for us MA drivers, many of us think we own the roads, don't signal, cross lanes and don't yield well.
