Looking for some advice/help ! Thanks
Well i am new to the forums and the whole RV scenario. I have been trying to read as much as possible on the website , i was just out at the RV show in Hersey , PA and had an AMAZING time. This is all new to me , as i have never camped or towed anything before but LOVE everything about being outdoors and the activities. We are a young couple , she is 23 and i am 31 so we def want to get out and explore.
Me and my gf are looking into buying a used Class C next year , as thats what i have narrowed it down to. As mentioned before , with no experience i was wondering if there was a place or class that i can attend to understand how the RVs work and all the functions about it. I don't want to buy something and not know how it all works , i am a very handy person and catch on quick.
I will be renting next summer to get a feel of what to expect and to help with our buying decision as well. Thanks !

Welcome!
There may be some classes available, but I am not aware of them. Most of us just seem to learn by doing. Hang around the forum for a while, and you will learn over time. You can also click the Files link at the to of the page and get a lot of information about the various systems in an RV.

Good luck with what ever you end up with, and also remember 99.7% of RVers are friendly & willing to help! So just keep asking questions on here as you think of them, and when camping talk with your neighbors!!

Hi: I learned by trial and error. Got lots of help from other campers. I belong to Good Sam camping club and get lots of help from the group.
I started with a tent. Now have 2002 Winne Brave. With it came tons of instructions, manuel from Winne. Hugs info package. I have gone through it page by page and learned a lot before I start out. I just received it Dec 4, 2013. If you do not know how to use the awning, wait until you get to a campground. I am sure someone will help. I have struggled with an awning and another camper immediately came over to help me.

If you rent one, the dealer who rents it to; you should/will show you on how to operate all items. Plus as mentioned already there are fellow campers who will be happy to help. If you purchase from the dealer you should receive a PDI" or a pre demo inspection on all functions, if you buy one privately try to get someone to go with you, as there are many different systems that are within.
