Bud, I lost my husband in 2005. I understand the pain, and wish you peace. No one really knows until it happens to them.

Capt. Bud,
The sweet and loving way you speak of your late Ruthie is evidence of the inimaginable loss you are feeling.
Know that along with the many friends you already know, there are many more you do not yet know who will be deeply touched by your loss as they read those eloquent words in your notice to this community.
We should all experience such a lifetime of love and commitment.
Sympathy and profound respect to you, sir.
Jim and Fran

I'm also sorry that I was not better with words.
Best wishes Captain,
Max

Hi Everyone
I found this this in the Asbury Press

Ruth C. Spiezio, 75, of Oakhurst, died peacefully Tuesday, June 7, 2011, surrounded by the love of her

family, at St. Barnabas Hospice & Palliative Care Center at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Jersey City, Ruth moved with her family from Bayonne to the Shore area in 1976. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. Ruth was predeceased by her brother, Herbert Werner, in May 1988. Surviving is her husband of 54 years, Salvatore "Bud" T. Spiezio; a son, Thomas C. Spiezio and his wife Nancy J. of Oakhurst; a daughter, Cheryl P. Gardina of Ocean; grandchildren, Steven T. Spiezio, Andrew C. Spiezio, Alyssa L. Gardina, and Rebecca R. Gardina; a brother, Ralph H. Werner and his wife Susan of Millstone; and a sister-in-law, Fran Werner of Brick.

A memorial gathering will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 10 at the Hoffman Funeral Home, 415 Broadway, Long Branch. In lieu of flowers, donations to Monmouth County SPCA, 260 Wall St., P.O. Box 93, Eatontown, NJ 07724 in Ruth's memory would be greatly appreciated.
