Check out hillsbourgh river state park. it is close to you so easy for a weekend.
I live Downtown tampa and I also still work so i use hillsbourgh river state park to just get out for a weekend now and again. hiking trails, bike trails, swimming pool, fishing. Shaded spots. Most sites are large enough for our 34 ft rv. We enjoy it.

Hi All,
As of now I am just parked & living in Wilderness RV Park in the Town Park Section Lot 98, due to having a travel trailer but no tow vehicle! However I hope that will change sometime soon, since I miss going on the road! As Half Dimes said there are a few of us NorEasters here! Myself & two others couples live here year round, and there is about another 4 or 5 couples that snowbird here! Hope any iRV2 folks that stop or stay at this park look us up!!!

Not too much happening recently. Many of the original bunch no longer RV for a variety of reasons. We're hanging in and going to the national rally in Nashville later this month but have no camping plans after that. Got surgery plans and cruise plans , just no camping plans....
There's folks out there just waiting for someone to take the lead, post where and when they're going and that they're looking for company. Doesn't have to be anything organized. When we used to meet up the only issue was where to go eat.
Nice fall weather is coming. Good time for someone to step up.

it is getting about that time, does any one want to make a plan for any of the posted locations? Be it Mayakka, Hillsborough River, Ft. Desoto, Wilderness or any one we can make a schedule for?

cooter plans
Hi pacakazz. Nice to hear something from the Cooter people, We just got back from 5 months up north in N.E. I would like to do Myaka some time in oct. or what ever people want to do. We live in North port fl. like to do Oscar shearer in Osprey close to Siesta Key beach etc. Did grayton beach and Topsail last month on the way south. Had family stuff to do also in aug/sept. Toss it out there and maybe somethig will happen. thanks Paul...

went to Hillsborough State River (per your recommendation) the last couple days and enjoyed it quite a bit.
hopefully we can get some folks to jump in and schedule a fall trip where we all can meet and enjoy Florida before the snowbirds flock in
