original "florida boomers"

Any of the original "florida boomers" or now the "florida cooters" going to the 10th annual reunion? We are waiting to see what Cindys college class schedule is before we can make a decision.

Not quite sure what you mean by original Boomers/Cooters but the following from the attendee list have been around for a few years:

11. Jim&MJ #HH19
12. Newgma #HH20
16. Tom and Dee #HH25
17. Jon and Sharon #HH26
18. Half Dimes #HH37

Hope you can make it.

Beaver 08, We are so looking forward to having our then Florida Boomer's and now Cooters attend the 10th Anniversary Reunion Rally.

If you take a look here you can see 10 years ago!

Come and join the fun at the 10th Anniversary Reunion Rally and write some new history! Pictures will be taken so bring those BIG Florida smiles with you!

Yes it is .. He's quite the nature boy! Nowdays you can see him in a comfortable riding hat and mounted horse back getting-a-long with his doggie in the Florida country side!

Lou and Robin Mitchell are in the bottom photo and were part of the original Florida Boomers. They have been among the missing for the past couple of years. Can't help much with the other photos.

The Col (Ray & Lynne Jenny) is in the black hat, organized our golf game.

I believe that 35U01 is in the top photo but I can't find their information. I believe they owned a flower shop. I just don't have them them in the directory although I may have gotten the user name mixed up. It's only been 10 years. Is it Salinsky or something like that !!

35U01 has a new "name" now -- they are Beaver 08 - in fact, he is the one that started this thread. They are Tom and Cindy Salinsky and yes, they own a flower shop.

Well ... I don't guess there's any such thing as Columbus Day flowers so they should be here!

Certainly do want to thank the contingent of Florida Cooters that came to Myrtle Beach. Let's do it again real soon!

Sadly, that contingent seemed to be all of the remaining Cooters. From health to economic causes, the group is a shadow of its former self. I hope the term "club" hasn't scared some folks off.

To any camper in Florida reading this, understand that we are just a group of RVers who enjoy getting out and getting together informally. We use the iRV2 forum as a way to communicate. We have no dues, no officers, and no rules (except the one about no socks with sandals).

To anyone who has been reluctant to post, feel free to jump in anytime. Some folks will be getting together at Rainbow Springs State Park from November 4-8. Hopefully someone involved in that gathering will post something on the Cooter site.

Good looking group, although I was only able to recognize a couple. Sad that a bunch so active as these guys are have dwindled so much. I still think about that great rally we had in Beaufort a few years back with the Boomers and our crowd from a little further up the road. Laughed for a few days. Would love to attend one with that much fun again.
BTW, Ms Carol and I will be heading to Tampa for the show again in January (unless some major catastrophe happens) Hope to see some of you guys there.

Here's a link to an old iRV2 Florida Boomers website that has a picture from a rally we had at Rock Crusher Canyon in Crystal River in 2004 or 2005, I think.
