Camping May, June, July, August, September 2010
Here's a little account of our family's camping this summer.
May 28-May 31: Our first camping trip for the year was Memorial Day weekend at Mohican State Park in Loudonville OH. While there, Jim Slifka and I found the Flexble Flyer plant, which is now owned by Motor Coach Industries (MCI).
May 31: On the way home from Mohican, we stopped at Sirpilla RV in Akron. After shopping the lot for 2 hours, we traded our 2002 Apache 25 RBH for a 2009 Palomino Stampede S-194 SD. We definitely went shorter length and lighter weight. We picked up our Palomino Stampede on Saturday, June 5th.
June 16-20: Driveway camping, Mercer, PA. The site was level.
June 29-July 2: RV Village, Mercer, PA. Camping with the Hazen Family from Jackson Center, PA. Site was fairly level. Met a nice couple Don and Linda from New Mexico who were at RV Village for the season.
July 8-11: Lake Village, Andover, OH. This was a campout hosted by the Grove City Alliance Church Campers--9 families attended. Sunday morning worship at the Lake Village Chapel was led by the Miklas Family.
July 16-18: Grove City Alliance Church, Grove City, PA. This was our churches first Chuckwagon Campout and 9 families camped, many more visited the encampment and joined in for campfires and meals. Sunday morning was the churches annual outdoor service where our total congregation of all services gets together on the lawn for worship, testimonies, and preaching.
August 13-15: McCullough Clan (family reunion), Burnside, PA.
September 3-6: Seneca Hills Bible Camp, Polk, PA. Labor Day Family Camp.
October TBA: Lake Lindey, Grove City, PA.
