Might be hard to find a spot this late in the game. Holidays book up months in advance, especially at the popular campgrounds (Mohican, KOA's..etc).
How close (I used to live in Shelby, so I know where you are)? If you give me an idea of your radius (& what you've got...TT, 5-r, MoHo), I can make suggestions.
On edit, I see you have a smaller TT. From experience, I can tell you Mt. Gilead St.Pk. rarely fills up. Right now, looks to be about 20 sites open. Might try there.

We will be at Barkcamp if you make it to that part of the state. They had a several sites available last week.

It's a little late, but Mosquito Lake State Park near Youngstown tends to not fill up very much....With the rainy weather the last 2-3 weeks there should have been some cancellations either at private or state parks...
We'll be heading down to Findley and Mohican State Park here in a week or so...can't wait.....
