Is there any activity here?

Just checking in with all of the former Pond Piggies / Lake Erie Boomers. Where is everyone?

Hi George! Good to hear from you. Dave & I are still around. This is just one of those summers when other stuff (S&B home) is getting in the way of RV-ing. Same for Frank & Chris - they've got a new home to settle into. I think Jim & Diane are the only ones really getting out this season.

Well our family is like the rest too, in that we have a lot of things going on. The main change in our family is that Jodi is now driving motor coach, which is year-round for her now.

Once in a while, we get to work together. In this picture, we were using 45' motor coaches for shuttling to/from Jamboree In The Hills.

Ya, Jim & Diane are RVing. Taking three 14-16 trips.

Just got back from a SE. Ohio trip to Hocking Hills SP. and Tar Hollow SP.. Man, was it quiet (Tar Hallow) If you want a park to really relax, catch up on some reading, that was sure the place. About 80 electric sites, some paved some grass. Good electric, No cell in the campground, but free Wi-Fi (good speed) near the camp office. Mini golf, free ping-pong. Robert & me played every day. Picked black berries and wine berries. There were two RVers there Tuesday and Wednesday nights. The place was about 2/3's full on the weekend. I'll do up some pictures this weekend. I think it will be a place we will go back to. Only about 15-20 minutes west of Hocking Hills.

Hocking Hills was very busy. Thank the Lord we were in far end of the campground in the last site. The sites by the pool were just a mess. So many people and vehicles. Some sites had so many tents and people the cars were parking half way in the streets.

Set to to leave later next week for :Philly, Cook Forest SP. and Clear Creek SP. in PA. for 2 weeks.

Hi Folks!

Yes, we're still here. The TT has been parked for a year now on a campsite near the construction site of our home base. The house is almost completed and awaiting the finishing touches to make it "move-in" ready.

It's been a longer than we expected project with many delays, mainly due to the terrible weather we've had this year.

All our camping this season has been at the campsite except for last weekend when we pulled the TT to Barkcamp SP in OH. I don't think I'm going to be camping anywhere until the TT can be kept at the home base which, hopefully, will be in a couple of weeks. The trip to Barkcamp takes about 2 hours from either our current home or home base, but the logistics (I have camping gear at both houses) and extra travel required between the TT and the two houses makes camping away from the campsite inefficient and time consuming.

Word has it, Frank will have parking for visiting Pond Piggies (1 at a time) at his new place. Just don't get there too soon or he'll put a paint brush or shovel in your hand & put you to work.

We meant to look you guys up when we were at Laurel Hill SP. back in June...Slipped my mind... Would have been only 30 minutes away from your new place..

Went down to Blackwater Falls SP. in West Virginia from there. It's about an hour south of your new get-a-way.

Depending on the routing you took from Laurel Hill to WV, you might have been able to wave at us as you drove by.

Hope younz had a good trip.

What me done for the season??? NOT

Actually we have a slide issue... been kind of on going, but over the summer has gotten bad enough that I took action. Even though it is out of it's 2 year structural warranty, Keystone said they will cover it, if what I believe is a engineering / design issue on their part. Will see. I did a temporary fix to get me thru the summer, but it's at Camping World in Akron as of yesterday.

Once I took the access panels off inside to see the slide construction, I'm 1000% confident it is a mis-engineering issue on how the slide is supported.

We have reservations for the Street Fair at Mohican / Loudenville for Oct 2-5.

Took route 219 down into WV. Didn't want to deal with the hills near Ohiopyle.

That's good news from Keystone they'll take care of you. I guess the crux is proving it was their problem in the slide support design. Will CW be able to determine that?
