Will 2017 finally be the year?
It's a new year. It's a another camping season. I've been a member of this website since it was started back in January of 2000, and still have the 2000 Jayco Eagle TT that was also purchased in the same month- one of the reasons why I joined iRV2.com. Chris and I (and the cat & TT too) aren't getting any younger. You'd think we'd all have plenty of open dates in our schedules to have one of those informal gatherings like we used to have; especially since some folks (like both of us) are retired now, but it's proved to be not true. Some of us seem to be busier than ever.
Truthfully, now that we camp year 'round in the world's biggest TT that's parked permanently on a two acre campsite with FHU, we don't get the urge to drag the Jayco somewhere as often as we used to; especially with our mountain setting that's about a half-mile from the boundary of Ohiopyle SP, PA's third largest. After living here 2-1/2 years, I can honestly say that if, and when, the time comes that we can no longer remain here, we'll have to be dragged out kicking and screaming.
Sometime before that happens, though (and we don't know when that will be), we'd love to camp somewhere with as many of our Pond Piggie friends (along with any of those that are "wanna be" Pond Piggies) as possible.
So... what's the chances of having a get together this year? I don't think there are many "piggies", including myself, who visit the forums with any regularity. However, I'll put this post out and see what, if anything, happens. Hopefully, at least one "piggy" will post their thoughts.
FYI- Shawnee SP's "B" loop has been completely rebuilt into 15 FHU sites with lengths that will accommodate any RV along with whatever is being towed. Could be a thought for a fall campout.
