My emotions are running amuk this evening, but I'll try my best to say what's on my heart. Without a doubt, this was the hardest rally I've ever attended, but the best "first" rally on this new journey in life.
My heart is full of thankfulness and I know this won't be sufficiently expressed, but I want to
THANK Don and Pat
for hosting an awesome rally. It was tossed into your lap so quickly under the circumstances and y'all are pros carrying it out without a hitch! And thank you to all the helpers who pitched in to make the rally a big success.
THANK Ron Norton (and Ellen for sharing him) for being an ever present shadow through the entire weekend helping me through the best and worst of moments on my first trip.
THANK my "Thelma"
for being a great co-pilot and teacher on my maiden voyage. You learned, as I did, from the best and together we will have many adventures ahead. I appreciate the beautiful tribute you put together honoring that wonderful man we love who will always ride with us in spirit from here on out!
THANK all the Texas Boomers for continuing to support the club with your overwhelming generosity at the auction. You raised an astounding near $2700.. which is an all time high! I am truly blessed beyond measure knowing the future operational expenses of the club are secure.
THANK each and every person for the hugs, sweet words of sentiment and encouragement, thoughts, prayers, laughter and the tears throughout the weekend. I may be alone, but I am not lonely for I'm surrounded by my "Boomer Family".
For me this is not the end, but rather a new beginning and I'm eternally grateful to have each of you by my side.
