Current Status On Our Rallies
In order to minimize the flurry of explanation emails back and forth, I want to make everyone aware of the current status on our rallies at various RV parks.....
We are experiencing extreme difficulties in our bookings this year due to oil and gas production, road construction and Winter Texans not leaving as early as planned due to extreme weather conditions up north.
All these conditions place me in a predicament in trying to fulfill our planned rallies with the various RV parks this year. All our rallies are booked at least 18 months in advance and none of us anticipated the three major concerns above and how it would affect the reservation of sites for each of the rallies.
Bookings made for the March St Paddy's Rally, the Easter Rally and the Memorial Day rally are severely hampered on sites reserved due to these conditions. Instead of 45 - 50 sites reserved 18 months ago, we are capped to half that many.
RV Rallies are not the #1 concern for any RV park anymore - their bread and butter is made on monthlies from workers coming in to work on area projects and by the winter Texans who aren't able to leave as early as planned.
Like it or not, this is the reality the Texas Boomers are dealing with. I hope this explanation helps in understanding why we have to put a cap on the attendee signups and why there is a "wait list" in effect once those sites are filled.
Sandy

I completely understand Sandy.
I'm sorry you have to go through so much headaches and kerfuffle dealing with all this.
You are truly a Saint! Saint Sandy!
Thanks for sharing this information. It is a lot easier to understand what's happening out there knowing what's going on.

Understand Sandy. WE are staying at our CG longer than originally planned too. Not because of the weather up north, but because we want to.

Sandie,
Susan and I appreciate the effort you are going through to organize these events and understand the difficulties. We really had a great time with the boomers earlier this year and hope to join in again soon. Anything we can do to help please let us know.
