For those of you comming from the Austin area take 290 toward Houston, you may use Hwy 36 at Brenham or continue to 359 just past Hempstead. Go South from both locations. Hwy 36 South to Bellville, then folow instructions from above post. Those from the Waco and Bryan College Station take Hwy 6S to US290 toward Houston. Take exit Hwy 359 South to FM 529 turn right and go to 331S turn left, about 1 mile you will approach a curve before the curve you will see a short dirt road ahead, take the dirt road about a city block in length. Turn right at blacktop, about 1 mile to Nelius Rd, turn left, you will see signs just before turn at Nelius, also large tower on your left. This road is a bit bumpy but not bad. At the end you will see some mail boxes on your right, do not turn right go straight into the park. I will be there on Thursday and have my cell phone with me if you get lost call me at 281-414-5634. If you need additional information PM me, Thanks
Mike

Are these directions for those of us who ALWAYS get lost trying to get to that place?
Please leave a trail of breadcrumbs for me to follow.

Does anyone know the clearance of the underpass on 36 in Sealy? I haven't towed up that way with the 5er.

Jimmy, You should be OK, I can't remember the exact height, but know I've seen and followed a few big 5rs under it with no problem.

NO! NO GPS! NO! My GPS (Garmin) has gotten me lost 100% of the time!!! I have had to call more than once to have someone guide me in because my GPS took me to the middle of a field. Last time (Dec. 10, 2010) I went in circles several times before I called someone who got out a map and read directions while I finally drove to the campground. Just ask Randy & Diane Blair how good I am at getting back out of the campground. They made the mistake of following me one time.

I also have had problems with wrong directions when using an address but never had a problem when using a Lat/Long - there is only ONE latitude & longitude for a location.
