Hot Summer Nights Wrap Up
WOW! What a great week. We started off with a few early arrivals going to a wonderful dinner at El Agave's in Johnson City. We had our "Meet and Eat" finger food potluck Monday night.
Each of the teams prepared a great meal each evening for dinner and we had a delicious sausage and pancake breakfast Wed morning and fresh donuts & coffee the other mornings.
The weather was a little warm but really pleasant in the mornings and evenings with a nice breeze blowing each day. Folks enjoyed meeting on the front porch outside the hall in the mornings for coffee, playing games of choice each day in the hall, playing Baseball and Bingo in the evenings, drinking Phil's Border Buttermilk, being visited by old time Boomers - Sandy and Hank and Linda, and touring the hill country especially the vineyards.
We survived the really close by wildfire over near Dripping Springs, and all in all, from what we heard from those attending, it was a great Hot Summer Nights Flamingle.
