LED conversion

We just changed out the bulbs in the overhead lights in our 2003 Cougar fifth wheel and they are brighter than the original bulbs. No need to change the fixtures and they are about 1/3 the price of camping world. Just in case you were thinking about converting yours, here is were I got them.

The ones I changed over to were purchased from EarthLED. They no longer carry the one's I bought so I am in search for new replacements as two have burned out (no where near 50,000 hours). Anyway, I use COOL WHITE in the kitchen area and WARM WHITE in the living room area. Cool White lights are much brighter, similar to daylight fluorescent bulbs. Warm White provides a, for lack of a better term, bright/warmer look.

For any of you interested in converting your incandescent 941 blubs to led I have 25 I will sell at $1.25 each. After converting all the lights in our 2003 Cougar fiver we finished the conversion by getting a new 2015 fiver and now have a pack of led bulbs left over. We also have a bag of incandescent 941 blubs you can have.

Ranchdog, sounds like you took off the radiator cap and drove a new car under the old one. Good luck with the new trailer.

WE are not far from you. We are Hosting at SFA state park...site 15.

DW hates the cool whites ANYWHERE. Tried a cool white LED in one socket of a 4 socket overhead light. Got yelled at to take the "darn" thing out!

If you do want to replace the fixtures I highly recommend these from Amazon

Amazon.com: Gold Stars F3528002 LED Dome Light Fixture Double 921 Wedge 2 X 150 LUM 12v Natural White (1): Automotive

Just installed them and they are fantastic. Less than $100 for the whole trailer. They also make them in the single version too.

We are planning to make this conversion join our Cougar this Fall. I've found this information useful and like the product.
