Looking for Vintage friendly RV parks in and around San Marcos TX

Good Morning ALL
My name is Pete and am VERY new to this
I will be moving from Indiana on the 8th of Oct. Headed for the San Marcos area. I could use a little heads up on recommended parks for my 1969 Forester 17SB. Like my quiet and don't like barking DOGS. Would want to personalize my space, and over time, make upgrades, modifications, and restorations to the trailer. (nothing drastic)
Have already contacted via e-mail one in San Marcos, would appreciate any others that are vintage friendly and clean and quiet.

No suggestions, but curious what constitutes "vintage friendly"?

Vintage friendly = accepts rigs over 10 years old.

Most places that accept rigs over 10 years old will want a photo of the rig to see the general condition. There are some long term parks that may not ask, but are pretty run down.

Start by just calling around.

Check with Pecan RV Park in San Marcos - very nice place although it is an older park in the area, they keep it maintained. It has lots of trees and close to the river.

I think Pecan Park is closed. They had a really bad flood there last year that did a lot of damage to park, rally hall and owners home.

OK, I see, have only run into this one time at the Outdoor resort park in Virginia Beach, otherwise never been asked. My MH turns 10 this year, I guess I better be on the look out.

When we had an older RV, the vintage Avion, never had a problem once they saw a photo. One 5er became a year newer each year once it hit 10 years old. Most RV campgrounds cannot tell the difference.

Rayford Crossing in Spring, TX would not let us stay there in our 1979 Silver Streak unless we came in with a rally. The trailer look almost show room ready.

We seldom ran across this problem, but it is out there.

Pecan Park is very nice and have a inside pool also. I have stayed there and there are some older units in the park.

You might try Hill Country RV Resort in New Braunfels. They've been there forever and actually have 3 separate areas - the first section is more permanent rv's - the 2nd section is modular units and the last section is for weekenders and rallies.

Another one you might want to try is Priddy Meadow RV Park in Wimberley. Small park with excellent owners. The park is in the country about 10 miles North of San Marcos.
