Memorial Day Rally Wrap
Great Park, Great Park Staff, Great Area, Great Food, Great Fun = Great Rally
Our 1st time visit to the K of C Campground in Hallettsville resulted in a super fun rally.
We welcomed our 1st Timers -
Frank Chapman & Ray Gunn, Jesse & Juanita Rodriquez, and Steve & Karen Schwegman.
We played lots of table games, attended the wonderful church picnic in the K of C huge hall,
grilled steaks and hotdogs, ate a haystack lunch again after many years, made waffles to order,
made ice cream sundaes, and played Boomers BOLO.
We also held our 19th annual Texas Holdem Tournament
with Robert Butler putting his name on the bird for the 1st time.
We also had a well attended moving Memorial Day tribute to our fallen servicemen and women.
All wasn't fun and games tho as 3 boomers ate at a Mexican restaurant
that was later shut down with ECOLI
and Randy, Sandy and Pam were very sick -
Robert escaped because he didn't eat the tacos with fresh lettuce.
We had to take Pat to the emergency room with a severe nose bleed.
As of today, the good news is all have pretty much recovered.
Everyone that attended remarked that it was another great Boomers rally.

Next up - 4th of July at Salmon Lake Campground in Grapeland.

Next year in May we are moving to a Cinco de Mayo rally at Lake Buchan RV park in Burnet, rather than a Memorial Day rally but the agenda with be basically the same lesss the Memorial Day video.
We return to Hallettsville in 2024 for our Christmas rally in early December.
If you are in Texas when we are having a rally, please come on by and camp with us.
