We were planning on attending this rally when it was at the other park. I understand the change though. I can't find much info on this park. Have you been here before?

Yes, we have been to Coushatte RV Ranch many times in the past. It is more rustic than an RV Park as it is out in the country (about 5 miles from the city of Bellville). It is privately owned and they host bluegrass festivals there several times throughout the year. There's nothing "fancy" about the place, but it has 300 + rv sites with full hookups and most are pull through sites.

There are 3 or 4 rally halls for group use. There is another rally group at the ranch the same weekend, however we will have our own rally hall for use throughout the weekend.

There is a website, but unfortunately there isn't much more information on it - they don't do a lot of internet advertising! They're country folks so it's popularity comes from word of mouth... www.coushatte.com

These are photos taken at a rally in February several years ago. There's ample room for big rigs, but there are no amenties (picnic tables, etc) at the sites.

As for the switch in locations, we just cannot justify the cost of the sites at the other place. We try to keep the rally rates under $40 a night to make it affordable for people to come (plus cost of fuel and everything else).

As for the drive, to get to the other park, you would be coming in I-45 through downtown Houston (282.29) miles to a very urban area. The drive to Coushatte RV Park in Bellville would be 264.66 miles down Tx 6 through Waco through a rural area....actually a much easier drive!

Sandy,
Sign me up for Saturday only. I still won't drive at night in MH & by that time of year it's dark by time I could be there. I will try to be there for Breakfast and stay the night.
