Rally up gang

We have the mh loaded and ready to head west to Johnson City. Man this is going to be a great rally. Another great musical "group" to entertain us Saturday night.

Madame Boomer sent out a message today with some really important information so if you didn't get it I guess you ain't coming.

I just thought I would add there is a birthday celebration in Luckenbach (its their 160th birthday celebration). If you can't sit on the tailgate of a strangers truck and drink Tequila from the bottle with the worm its probably not for you. On the other hand, we're going and of course will be bringing a camera.

Everyone please drive carefully and arrive in one piece, well except for Don who will arrive in many pieces all held together with duct/duck tape. I love you Don and can't wait to smell that bacon Monday morning.

Until Friday.....

Congratulations on the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Texas Boomer Group! It's been a long time coming and I wish all you folks in Texas nothing but the best. Have a ball and tell Sandy & Rusty that Mike & Colleen send their best and to all the other Boomers as well!

We will be in shortly after lunch....if I get the other half up at a reasonable hour.

Driver, the Texas Boomers 10th anniversary is not until Labor Day in September. Luckenbach is a little local town made famous by Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and the gang. That place has been around for 160 years.

We are looking forward to a great Boomer weekend. We should be there sometime on Friday. After the service on Thursday we will need to be with friends and can not think of better friends to be with.

We're leaving in the morning. Figger it will take til Friday to find this place. And no Richard Palmer I don't need directions from you...besides once we get close to Burleson I'll start to recognize stuff. Oh I hope I do! I did remember we're in site 43 or 34 or 7. Maybe we'll just wait until everybody else gets set up and take whatever is left. Yippee, just one more night in the stick house and then...

Contrary to the official postings stating otherwise, Patsy and I will arrive on Thursday....... sometime after noon. This is the beginning of a three to four week trip, and I can't wait to get on the road!!

No worries.......... I called the campground office and made sure that a one-day early arrival would be OK!! I also want to check out the "Salt Lick" BBQ place near Driftwood, TX. We have heard from other RV'ers that it is really good.

Salt Lick Bar-B-Que Restaurant – Austin, Round Rock, Hill Country, Texas

See you then.

Richard

Two things Richard. If you want a beer or some wine with your meal, take it with you. People walk in with rolling ice chest. Second, take mostly cash cause I don't think they take Credit Cards. BTW....its goooooooooood.

Ya'll have fun. I'm in Petaluma, CA, and even if I left now I could not make it in time, so this weekend we will be in the Redwood Forest, or some place close, like Klamath, CA.

Shucks! Probably miss Labor Day, as will be in New England.
