RGV-S. Texas Boomers

Are there any Boomers in the Lower Rio Grande Valley and Corpus Christi area? Gettin' to civilization from down here takes a day most of the time. Just lookin' for some locals.

Cool. I am a REALTOR in McAllen. The wife and I had a 34' Bounder for years and decided to tag it for a while. Back when we rode Harley's we always towed our bikes on a trailer and joked then that we were Trailer Trash. See you use Vette Racer. Do you own a Corvette? We have a LeMans Blue C6

Nope, sold them all when we started RVING, raced a 66 for 25 years and owned a number of them over the years, had a great time with them but time to move on.

Tom, when did y'all sneak down to the RGV? We will be at Brazos Bend State Park, southwest of Houston until March 31.

I understand. We enjoy RVing and the Vette too much. We took the Vette to MI last year. What a ride. Got the trailer (Keystone Sprinter 272RLS) just last October. Only made 3 trips with it. Had to get rid of my Tahoe. Not quite enough weenies to pull the TT without straining. Went ahead and got a new pick up, much better. Our next long trip is to Texas Motor Speedway in April. We have been going since it opened but have cut back to one a year.

Hi Ken, yeah, we slipped out in early January and will be here until the 19th, was planning on coming up your way after a stop in Rockport but that is still up in the air. We got stuck with a rental when stepdad died and have had nothing but grief since we've been gone, ready to go back, fix it up and get it sold.

Philco, TMS is a neat place, we were members of NCCC and raced at their event there a few times, even got to make hot laps on the track itself even though our racing was on the road course they have there, fun place.

Tom, If you come in Sunday afternoon through Friday morning, you should be able to get a site...except for spring break in March. The place is booked on weekends about 4 months out and on all holidays.

Let me know when you will be up this way and we can arrange our schedule.

Ken

Enjoy Daytona. We're not full time yet. I want to keep selling real estate as long as I can. We should be a little more active from March on. Enjoy.

How was Daytona? Sorry to see you had to deal with the rain. Duels we OK. Liked second one best. Thought the race would never end. Glad to see Jr. finally won one.

Back home from Daytona. Had a great time even in the rain. 4,000 miles round trip. We will most likely leave around the end of May to Ohio for the next trip.
